Severe tiredness at the moment. Only once I take betablocker+perindopril on a morning.

Ron has never been tested for sleep apnea we just mentioned it to gp earlier in the year . She just gave us a sheet of info about it . Ron has had this since last year . It was only when he was seeing a cardiologist that it seemed to stop but since being back on the dihydrocodeine for the past two weeks signs of sleep apnea have started again. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen tonight . I've lost count of the sleepless nights I had .
How was Ron and your sleep last night?

I live near a big Teaching Hospital which has a Sleep Clinic. It was I who worked out that I probably suffered from OSA and asked to be referred to them. I have had several sleep tests over the years. A nurse issued me with a spaghetti of cables and sensors along with high speed instructions. By the time I had managed to reassemble and attach all these at night I was in no state to drift off to sleep! I had to try and sleep with prongs up my nose and an oximeter on a finger, not to mention several bands and a sharp cornered plastic box round my chest. However, the results were worth the effort.

For some years I was able to improve my sleep with a device that fitted into my mouth, to bring my jaw forwards. In the end it began loosening my front teeth, so now I have the ventilator. I used to have the strongest desire to sleep every afternoon, but now not at all.

That's interesting @Alexandra100 .

Since taking these meds later in the morning, the later I'm needing an afternoon nap.
Is it only sleep apnea which causes afternoon naps?
Is seems only in these dark days for me!

Just seen an NHS advert.
Coughs and colds effect us diabetics. This must be the way they effect me
I must be getting old, too.

If you think it is literally the short, dark days that are making you sleepy, trying to get out each day in daylight might help, but I think you do already try to do that. Or a SAD light? https://www.amazon.co.uk/b/ref=s9_a...b1d-5709-96f9-9bab91c82ce6&pf_rd_i=2826453031
I'm sure afternoon naps have myriad causes - including being a top athlete! Having a 2nd sleep in the day is said to increase our supply of human growth hormone, which is a very good thing for health, healing and fitness.

I have news for you, we're ALL getting old!!! And how many people get through the winter without catching a cold?

One of the side effects of beta blockers is fatigue .

I think I'm exhausted remembering all my meds, ordering them and reducing insulin accurately. Then xmas on top and just been pushed in a corner to change energy co. and sit on phone calls for too long....so boring and arduous.
Food shopping with the scraps of money left. Humf!
Neither wonder I'm tired.
Oh. Did I mention my hard work 4yr old, who screams in my face if things aren't exactly perfect for him. Of course he gets told off but he causes me a lot of stress.
Preparing for bariatric surgery is important to me too.
Oh so many pots I'm juggling.

I know Christmas Day faces will show me all the hard work worth it.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm awake but hubby had to do school run. Just no energy and hardly any voice.
Hope @eldergarth is not too bad. ♡♥♡ @tina_marie
I think an early night tonight.
I had energy before taking my betablocker and perindopril then 2nd set of 2 tramadol thou. Strange.
It seems that since the early dark nights have come along my batteries are not getting recharged. Im on vitd3 so it shouldnt be that.
Betablockers and perindopril definitely making a change to my energy levels. @Daphne917 how is your hubby on betablockers? Is he very very tired?
Hi @ickihun Tony is on 7.5 mg of bisoprolol which he takes in the evening but he does take a long time to wake up in the mornings.

I might need to ask if I can change my timing?
Thanks for replying. Hope you are well and looking forward to xmas day?

Last presents ordered a Sunday and arrived today! Looking forward to Xmas but Tony has his echocardiogram tomorrow to check that his valve and aorta are still ok.

I’m not sure why he started taking them at night - I think it was the chemist who suggested it

Vicky does your prescription say to take it in the morning ,cause that's what it says on Ron's and he takes it at breakfast time .

It does so I'll have to see if he will allow me to take it to nighttime and change the prescription directions.
Not sure what he'll say.
I'd only do it if he says ok thou as they are heavy meds.

I'm going to pharmacy tomorrow to pick up Ron's meds so I'm going to ask him ,plus need to enquire about his pain relief cause I think the dose is wrong .

Will do as you can guess I'm up he's in bed . Lol
