Vinegar Tablets and Fasting Blood Glucose Reading

Note that vinegar is acidic, and so is not good news for teeth in the long term, So it is bleaching the teeth because of the acid - nothing magic there. It is also attacking the enamel coating of the teeth and will wear it away eventually. Just like Pepsi or Coca Cola.
Aww come on that's an unfair comparison we are talking about one table spoon diluted in water a day, not a 2lt bottle of coke.

And apart from the claim that the acetic acid, (in the acidy vinegar) helps with the break down of uric acid crystals which form gout it was clear from the winkey face ;) that I was just good naturedly poking a little fun at biker.

Sorry it didn't work out for you Oldvatr and I don't know why you were taking it but I hear green tea has many of the same reported benefits of apple cider vinegar. But that stuff tasted horrible. :***:

I admit I did not see the LOL as I am half blind, so missed the point there. Sorry.

I was made to take cider vinegar in the early days of my LCHF foray, where I ws facing becoming ID p.d.q. and was seeking anything that moved (bgl) in hopefully a significant way. My post prandials were coming up >32 mmol.l (HI on the meter) and my FBG was around 25.
To cut a long story short my wife fell for the charms of a shyster flogging the secret to cure T2D on the web, and purchased the book at £75. One of the treatments in it was the Apple Cider morning greeting, and I tried it for a while, along with the WFPB diet that went with it. I had been vegetarian before, but never vegan, and my bgl went evn higher,

My BP also went higher, and I thankfully found this site 3 years ago, and reluctantly started to do the LCHF diet. I say reluctantly because it broke all the rules as far as Eatwell went, and I was scrabbling around to find the scientific evidence to support it. I found enough to convince me to stand up to my GP and Diabetic Specialist, They gave me a meter, and within 1 month I had turned my condition on its head. I have not looked back since, except in the spreadsheet as a reminder of where I was prviously.

So my attitude to Cider Vinegar is tempered by a bad experience, and it is strengthened by my experience with LCHF and other LC diets. So I am happy to ditch it, along with the other remedies I tried without success.

I’ve tried plenty of different things for lower BG at wake up, I do know a Gin and Tonic helps but more than that
Sleep quality seems to make a difference to me, if I have a really good nights sleep (which is rare) I wake up with a BG of about
5.5, every other day it’s always around 6.2.
I would not have thought there is anything amiss, here. I am on a keto diet, no meds, and if I test my blood glucose immediately on waking and before stirring it is about 5.5 to 5.8. As soon as I get up it rises steeply to some 6.2 to 6.5, then falls back more slowly. This is using Freestyle Libre, which gives great insights.

I wouldn’t call it a steep rise. Mine goes up to 7 or 8 and even higher post breakfast falling back to near normal before midday.

Ok!

I do mean steep, as in rapid, hence showing as a near-vertical line on the freestyle graph. However, that rise is over and done with in short order so, for me, not a very great rise, as you correctly pointed out.
