I had some great news today.

After diagnosis t2 on 1st Feb.
With HbA1c of 89 was put on Metformin 1000mg twice a day.

Immediately cut out carbs. No beer, pasta, rice, bread, spuds or chocolate!!!!

I've lost 2st 4 lb.

Got results of blood test last week (exactly 9 weeks).

HBA1c is now 46.

Dr has asked to see me for an early review next week!

So chuffed.

Thats just amazing. So pleased for you.

Cheers. I know it is amazing.

I've worked really hard on the No carbs and it's paying off.

Fanblummintastic! Well done that Man!

Amazing news - so great when hard work pays off well done you.
It’s very hard to believe isn’t it just what an impact eating in a particular way can have on your blood sugars and overall health @nd especially if you thought, as I did, by following nhs officiaL guidelines I was eating healthily by eating high carb @nd low fat. Way to go and I’m sure with your attitude and determination the only way is down for your blood sugars! Well done and congratulations

Were you self monitoring? Wondering how quickly you started to notice changes.

My Dr put me on Glicacide for first week so gave me a test kit. Been using it religiously and taking it and weight on my phone using Samsung Health...

Can't upload the pics of progress. Weight us almost a straight line down from 323lb to 289lb.

Blood glucose dropped like a stone in the first 2 weeks.and stayed down. I have only been above 8 once in 8 weeks.
