What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Ive got a static bike, (no oxymeter though) maybe I’ll try as soon as I get up tomorrow.
@DJC3 I also have to tell myself off for spending too much time here and not doing useful stuff.
Static bike will probably have pulse/hr monitor my first cheapy one did. How about we both post fbg, sort fluid then moderate cardio - say 60% / 70% Max HR- then post we've done it!

Guten Abend, gute Nacht,
mit Rosen bedacht,
mit Näglein besteckt,
schlupf′ unter die Deck!
Morgen früh, wenn Gott will,
wirst du wieder geweckt.

Guten Abend, gute Nacht,
von Englein bewacht,
die zeigen im Traum
dir Christkindleins Baum.
Schlaf nun selig und süß,
schau im Traum 's Paradies

Good evening, good night,
With roses covered,
With cloves adorned,
Slip under the covers.
Tomorrow morning, if God wills,
you will wake once again.

Good evening, good night.
By angels watched,
Who show you in your dream
the Christ-child's tree.
Sleep now blissfully and sweetly,
see the paradise in your dream.

I’m up for that, but not being a sporty type don’t understand the 60/70% Max HR.
Ive been doing either 1/2 hr moderate ( ie I can still talk) OR 15 mins with 3 intervals of 20 secs going as hard as I can at top resistance level.
Do either of these sound ok?

It does have a pulse monitor - I tend to skip quickly past that option though.

hello, what do you guys to do get fbg in the 5-6 range? I am struggling and always have them in 6.3- 6.7 range.

I dont take any medication and was diagnosed as T2 , march 2016. I have not done VLC but I try to keep carb intake low. Only 38 years old so want to make sure I can enjoy life while still managing it.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi @nsh2111 can only tell you what works for me.
I keep carbs very low and mostly don’t eat them. So high fat, low carb.
This translates for me as protein mainly from dairy, fat from cheese, cream, olive oil, nuts; that sort of stuff. And loads of veg, especially green veg. No half fat or reduced anything.
I don’t eat until lunch time including anything like milk in tea and exercise each morning - nothing fancy, mostly walking quickly and a few weights (as you get older your bones need a jolt or two).
That’s pretty much it really.
Takes a while to burn off all visceral fat and get your liver organised - oh, wine, red wine.
If you research about this stuff then you can make your own plan.
Good luck and don’t fret about 6.3-6.7, it’s not really that high. :angelic:

Morning, have a read across the forum, lots of ideas and things to try. Talk to a doctor who specialises in diabetes not a diabetic nurse, I have had so many conflicting bits of advice from nurses that I avoid them.
Good luck on your quest.

Good morning all

Well, to prove yesterday's numbers were not a fluke, Lady Vampira tasted my blood at 5.15 and bg was 5.5.:)

Feeling a bit smug with the result to be truthful.

Wishing everyone a terrific Tuesday
Good for you @Mick1959 I'm afraid my Madam and your Lady V must have had a row. Hope they make friends soon

Morning 6.6
Had a lump of cheese and gone back to bed in disgust ( over the fbg not the cheese)
@flexi06 good luck with the DN. Maybe its the stress of seeing her and needing good numbers that is driving yours up?
@DJC3 cheese and some extra zzzzzzzzzz will help. It's only a number remember and there's always time for it to come down. Onwards and downwards
