Bed time: 5.0
Waking: 10.8 :/
Not the end of the world, but it is annoying going to bed with a really good blood sugar, and the morning brings disappointment.
Very frustrating. Correct and move on doesn’t always work for me first thing either. So I hope these double figures don’t hang around all morning.
A basal test is overduenot done one since I have switched from
Lantus to Levemir- been making excuses to avoid it... but I better crack on with it.
Hi @Alison54321, Yes, lLevemir gives you that flexibility. Not sure that you meant by banana power, is that a banana to cope with morning exercise ? before ? after breakfast ??I switched from Lantus to Levemir about a month ago. I like it a lot better, but I've been finding I need a slightly higher evening dose, than morning dose. I recently pushed it up to 8 at night, and 6 morning. It seems to be less erratic at that level, though it did feed into the morning sugars making them a bit lower. So I've had to use banana power to go out and get stuff done. Whereas before it would be a comfortable high 7s, or low 8 that I could walk off easily.
I'm not a fan of basal tests, as to me it's only a snapshot, but I based my guesstimate on the daily patterns freestyle libre graph, because the night time section was clearly higher.

You also. Countdown to Pump day continuing. Is your spacesuit ready ?Good morning have a great day![]()
OK. So shaving a fraction off the pre-breakie bolus does not cover the exercise ? (just thinking of another option, not trying to spoil the banana boost !!)The banana is added to the equation at whatever point I start engaging in extra physical activity.

As a banana ripens more of its substance converts to digestible sugar. ( I think!) You don'e get stitches from swimming after eating? Would a slight reduction in am levemir (? 20%) plus preceeding bolus dose (and possibly the following bolus dose) work also ??I've a greenish banana sat waiting to be eaten afore I go swimming, a big up to bananas as an T1 exercise tool
Which leads me to the banana debate! pre ripe green to yellow or over ripe yellow to brown? I find the riper the faster the sugars....![]()
May the cake be always with you !Well after yesterday's "mega start" I'm now running at 3.6, which I guess is technically hypo land but I'm happyeasily solved.
Have a fun day people.

If swimming is late afternoon one may also need to lower pm Levemir as well since (in my experience at least) hypos from exercise can start 6 + after the exercise. Again, we do what works best for ourselves! (The jack-in-a-box is retreating back into his box )!!
