What are you doing now and humorous banter.

Home from a successful shopping trip......:)
....pork loin steaks and roasted vegetables for dinner......

I’ve found that we don’t need as much now as we did when working - simple pleasures and less on car travel. I think an ‘eventualities’ fund is essential for ease of mind, just in case tiles on the roof etc need fixing. It helps, too, if you’ve paid off a mortgage.

Mortgage paid off no worries there x

I wonder if you could get severance as well as the retirement benefits.
Do you belong to a Union? If you do it might be worth getting advice from them too.

Yes I’m in touch with the union they have a welfare officer who can advise me

Good morning everyone. Had a splendid day in York yesterday. We go quite frequently and until yesterday have not gotten out on the river. So, a pleasant 40 minutes on one of those flash tourist boats with a running commentary about Vilings, church building, posh schools, bridges and floods.
Off to Scotland on my bike in about an hour, back tomorrow.
Have a great weekend if you can :)

woke at 4.30am, had a cuppa and breakfast plus meds then out with the dogs at 5.30 am , still hot but not as hot as it is @ 6.30 they enjoyed the walk and so did I, although I like this weather I do wish it would cool off for the animals ....

Morning. Well off for a short break tomorrow, so what to pack? Well its the UK so:

Rain coat
Water proofs
Sun block
Swimming trunks
Winter woolys
Light weight clothing
2 undecrakers (so can get at least 4 days out of one pair, right side, back to front, inside out and back to front inside out)

Should cover I think :D

I'm rebelling and not doing anything today.. it's far too hot and I dont feel like roasting myself.

Seriously have washing to put out and plants to pot but more importantly the football to watch (I even have an England top on - a girlie one but an England top I probably bought around last world cup)

Lazy day before we're tied down to a 15 month old child tomorrow. The 9 year old looks after herself with a tablet and headphones.

@Molly56 and @Clivethedrive I hope you both have a lovely day on monday. And I hope the weather isnt too oppresive ;)
