Diabetics R Us

I need grown up input. Should bed and board include personal items such as beard oil, aftershave, razors, shampoo and conditioner etc? I think not but XL sons have ganged up on me. Little do they know I am infamous for my tightwaddedness! PS. Is that even a proper word?

Today is not going to end well.

A bed and food works... anything else is extra... like laundry and such.... or is the rent going to be a contract!!
Good luck.

="archersuz, post: 1837033, member: 437371"]No! They are very personal items. However when my son comes shopping with me, he does slip a few things like that in MY shopping basket![/QUOTE]

They're not daft are they?

You might all hate me buuuuuuuuuuut my 31 year old daughter lives here rent free as she is piling all she can into a help to buy ISA and savings. Unfortunately with house prices the way they are down here in the south east I can't see here ever being able to afford to buy a property on her own :(

Not hate, understand completely. But my two younger sons show no signs of wanting their own places, not while muggins here acts like the bank of mum and dad. It's very hard for the youngsters now, though. I was away at eighteen but some people just may never be able to afford a home of their own.

It rained here for approximately ten minutes.

Good night Karen.

Aye, couple of hours ago there was some half hearted spitting here but it's teeming now and beautifully cool and a lot fresher.

My little Kareltje is just the best cat in the world! I came home today after the funeral of a 90 year old aunt, a bit worried about the baby guinea-pigs, as Kareltje regularly visits their pen. When I came home he was basking in the sun in the guinea-pig pen right next to the spot the babies usually are, so I was preparing myself to cleaning up a nasty family drama. But the baby guinea-piggies were right next to the cat, with their mother. Funny, wonderful cat! It catches mice, rats and moles (is that right in English? I mean the short-sighted animals living underground) regularly but seems to like my guinea-pigs as company :)

Late Morning (in Oz anyway) Pouring rain, windy, tempting-to-stay-under-the-covers day. But got to bed at 2 am, watching Poldark series ( it is a 20% pluser for the drama's effect on my BSLs and insulin requirements!!).
BSLs good this am, but basal up 10% because not walking today.
Hoping to be part of a photo shoot for the local South Aussie Diabetes Australia 65th anniversary. Must dig out the old glass syringes, needles, auto-injectors for display of past history!

Morning all

Another warm night

@Antje77 Lovely story about your cat. When my daughter Sarah was a baby our cat stuck by her side as much as she could even squeezing on my knee when I was feeding her. I had a big old Silver Cross pram and the cat would sit on the edge of the pram while Sarah slept during the day then come and find me when she was waking up.
