Good morning, yesterday was not a good day, felt quite unwell, so hoping today will be better. I am going to attempt to hang some washing on the line, I will use a garden chair to rest in between ( son out of town today and daughter back at full time work)
Last night I had a 2.9 hypo, corrected it but this morning I was 3.5. Pebbles cat is miaowing to come in so I must go:cat:.
Have a great Tuesday :)

@Robinredbreast hope today is a better day for you
@kev-w I am sure you will get the hang of Tresiba with your varied exercise regimes
Woke to a 10.8 this morning, pretty happy as we had curry and rice last night. Split bolus for that, OH and had a piece of cake before bed (small piece). Currently on a very level 5.4

Strange day so far - raining at home and sunshine after my commute. Went to sleep on a decent 7.7 thinking all was well and woke up to a 14.7. Only thing I can think of is some part of dinner was still waiting to be digested hours later. Libre shows a sharp spike shortly after I went to sleep which then mostly levelled off overnight until I got up. Correction isn't quite bringing it down yet either. Ho hum.

Need to get inside my Blucon so I can try getting alarms set up. :grumpy:
Edited to add it could be more honeymoon hi jinks after last week.

One of those days fighting.

Woke up 16.2 and upwards :arghh: and I am now :shifty::shifty: @porl69 because I too had a curry and calculated carbs was running low 4 went to bed. According to the Etch A Sketch it did not drop below that all night and went up like a firework from later on :spitoutdummy:

Oh well live and learn and it still will not stop me eating curry :hungry:

I have been splitting my Lantus (and before my trip to Mercury) for a while but have bumped the morning one up to catch the spike lte in the morning. After sticking half a litre or more of Nova Sluggish (yep, today it is) I am back to 8 and dropping, which is OK.

GYm tonight me thinks and lunch in half an hour, then Costa coffee later, got have something to aim for :)

Was there rice, chapatis etc with the curry ? And how knows what spices and sweetening is added to the curry sauces Is a home-cooked meal with no rice and control over the spices a way to go ??

I always find curry and rice give me a BIG spike around 3 hours after eating so I usually split dose (same for pizza) AND add an extra 10% on carbs - it works for me :). Half just before I eat and then the other half around 2 hours after eating.
I do enjoy a curry too much to stop eating it, same as pizza and home made cake :D :D :D

Morning all, assuming it’s still morning by the time I finish typing...

An okayish night on the Etch a Sketch (had to steal it, @Knikki !) spot of dawn phenomenon at around four which I corrected and could get back to sleep. Hovering in the high sixes/low sevens.

You’re all so right about how obsessive the Libre can make us about the numbers. I’m really worried that I’m going to burn out, and then what?

Big hugs @Robinredbreast - be kind to yourself today and feel better soon xxx

It was a home made one with a sauce and yes, rice plus nan bread all of which we calculated for and while I expected it t spike I did not think it would be as high as it was, plus it is not an uncommon meal for us.

3 hours later I was at 4.1, I must be spiking way later than that, while your way of dealing with it is good (and I might have go at it) I think the Etch A Sketch would be going LO if I did that.

Pizza is the same for me I seem to spike way later than 3 hours more like 6-8 hours later.

Not to worry just have to have rethink next time we have one :D

Can't you train Pebbles to hang out the washing whilst he's out? :)
Or at least, take care of you.

Pebbles would if she could, she's a lovely cat and gives me lots of head rubs, licks and pawing at me. So she does take care of me in her cat way, love her very much.

I did put the washing out, very slowly, so took my time :)

My MIL has/had pneumonia twice on the trot so to speak, honestly I think her first bout hadn't fully cleared up and she tried doing too much too soon and that set her back and came back with vengeance - so please even if you do feel like you're back to your old self (you're probably think 'yeah I wish!', but when it does happen) take it very carefully though.
