Nova Rapid/Sluggish/Useless take your pick
I’m less relaxed now about the numbers than I was before the days of tech that told me what they were: I used to rely on physical signals. Sometimes I wonder whether our lives have been been improved or constrained by all the number watching.
My MIL has/had pneumonia twice on the trot so to speak, honestly I think her first bout hadn't fully cleared up and she tried doing too much too soon and that set her back and came back with vengeance - so please even if you do feel like you're back to your old self (you're probably think 'yeah I wish!', but when it does happen) take it very carefully though.
I am looking after myself, and not doing too much, I know it will take months to recover.

same with me becca59 i dont use arms no more lower back for meSo, after a fantastic Libre accuracy for 10 days, and I mean bang on accurate. It then went to pot, and the last 4 days were whacky! As I’d lost all faith in it I didn’t cover during my hour swim session yesterday to encourage it to come off. Did it heck! Still had a struggle this morning it was stuck fast. The last one departed company with my arm after 5 days. You couldn’t make it up.
It looks a mess and am presently putting on the steroid cream. When I don’t have one on, I think, oh is it worth it. But it so is when wearing it. I have definitely picked up the allergy to it though. Which is a little heartbreaking.
Not by my spine over to the side just below waist lineWhen you say lower back whereabouts exactly in relation to your spine?
Little Ira is my own teenager’s cat - she was a stray who’s trust he gained and now she lives here. She’d dropped a couple of kittens under our dining table but we had her done.I taught her to sit on command and she then sits up for her 'tweets' ( Dreamies) <3She is actually my teenager's cat, but we have a special bond

I think that answer is very much owned by each individual, I am less anxious now than I was say 2-3 years ago, having access to a libre gives me peace of mind that I know where my BG levels are heading or if I want to exercise that I can run and scan my sensor and have peace of mind I am not heading south. Some people believe technology has changed our thinking and we become over whelmed with numbers and tech, I believe alot of diabetics prefer to know so they can take action and own the condition. Regardless of the tech I too still feel the highs/lows so have a good awareness all round, but believe the libre has been a game changer for me in managing my control.

Yes, if I’m honest it’s been a game changer for me too. Every now and again I wish I didn’t feel the need to check it, especially if I’m concentrating on something that takes all my attention!
I think it would’ve been great to have when I was still working though as it’s so quick, easy and painless compared to finger pricking, and the trends would have been super-helpful.
Even after 48 years of the T1 life I occasionally need time out and have to suppress envy of those who can do stuff without checking whether they’ll be compos throughout. In the very early days I used to set off on long drives and rides (when I was lucky enough to have the company of Dobbin) with just a tube of pastilles in a pocket and a knowledge that symptoms would tell me if I was going low. It felt like freedom!
Thanks, might give it a go. The marks on the arm are not becoming, especially with summer clothes.
