What are you doing now and humorous banter.

Hi @Cumberland

Retirement is fun, no alarm clocks, no people looking over your shoulder, no rushed lunches because you have a deadline to meet. And all that holiday time to do what you wish. And if you're still missing work after 6 months then I'd suggest you look into giving your services as a volunteer just to mix with people again and to feel valued.

I love being at home and I do wonder where I found the time to go to work too. Now I spend my time reading, and shopping hee hee. Oh and the beauty salon to be titivated.

Enjoy it

Thanks for this wolfie

No alarm clocks I could get used to that lol

I’m still a little sad

I have yet to tell the ward (Matron said she would leave it up to me to tell them in my own time)

How long until you leave? They’ll want to celebrate what a lovely person you are to work with! And maybe you’ll still be called on if there are emergencies?

Gammon joint, which’ll make tomorrow easy when I go to the flicks and get back after him indoors has noshed, beans ‘n greens ‘n new spuds. And blackberries and cherry plums from the freezer - last year’s crop.

So two or three months, make the most of them and don’t make yourself unwell, please.

A day full of chores and already I am deputising, ducking and weaving.
Got to finish the flying fish kite: sort out some issues with maintaining the wing shapes, will it balance and fly?
If you google "Japanese flying fish and tandem wing aircraft" you will see the design I am trying to emulate.
At least it keeps me off the streets .....

Good morning all, just returned home from a trip to France. Gone through the mail, checked on garden plants an got to sleep in our own bed.
Son arrives today’s checking out motorcycles this morning - oil, tyres, that sort of stuff - we are off for a couple of days up to the Scottish borders tomorrow.
Have a great weekend if you can :)
