Type 1'stars R Us

Good morning everyone,

Happy birthday @Cumberland

My blood sugar graph decided go zig zaggy last night, which meant I didn't get enough sleep, but I got some useful writing things done at about 3am, I would have preferred the sleep.

The festival has arrived in Edinburgh, I think this might actually be the cause of my problem. I live on the edge of the Old Town, where most of the events take place, and it's quite fun to watch all the activity,as they set their little events up, and start giving out flyers, and begging people to go to them. So I like wandering around and looking at what's going on, but it might be a bit of an adrenaline generator, which might be destabilising my blood sugars.

I'll have to find somewhere really really boring to go, or do.

Thanks Karen, I went up on my own, his father was there ! it seems to of been a nasty viral infection, but my son thought he was in real trouble medically. All's well that end's well, son is resting at home now ( but seeing my Ex up close, omg, he hasn't worn well and he looked 9 months pregnant :wideyed: :yuck: :D
 
Just back from the dentist with an abscess. Grrr!! Hypo while I was sat in the chair, luckily the other half was there with the emergency jelly babies. The dentist said "You can't eat them, you are diabetic!" :). I obviously had to put him right and then explain the Libre to him :). Am now cruising on a 5.4 AND anti biotics

It's quite a day, isn't it! Congrats to Mel on overnight brilliance, happy birthday to Cumberland, yet another bit of bad luck for poor Robin though thankfully a good ending, kitedoc's become a poet, Paul's dentist deserved being damaged with his own drill and Knikki's here naked - something in the air or symptomatic of Type1? :)

The cannula is all part of the little pod, so there’s no visible tubing (well, you have a little viewing window so you can see it and check it’s in properly). Ah, they gave you the "new shape" Omni.. :cool: These are smaller than the previous design, which was more scarab shaped from memory of the one our old bass player wore.

My afternoon was fantastic, or would have been had something suddenly not changed right at the last minute, work wise that is :shifty::mad::mad: which is why I am not sat at home logging back in to my work machine :mad::mad:

As for "the too much information" I saw you looking from behind the curtains :hilarious:
 
Well, it’s been 26 hours since my last injection, and I’ve got this constant feeling that I’ve forgotten to do something really, REALLY important. And I know there’s a fair bit of beginners luck going on too, but I’ve been in range 87% of the last 24 hours, and I’m thrilled! A bit high yesterday afternoon because I didn’t take my morning Tresiba shot as instructed, and a little high this mid-morning because I still had some DP going on. Went food shopping, did a little basal suspend for half an hour as I was a little low for driving (4.6), and by the time I’d checked out I was above 5 again.

I like this. :borg:

Remind me I said I liked it when it all goes horribly wrong and I tell you all I hate it, will you? ;)

Wow Mel that is brilliant. All the data you had collected has come up trumps for you. I can't imagine not doing injections after 46 years

@porl69 I feel your pain as I spent last week-end in hospital being pumped with IV antibiotics due to a tooth abscess. Hope you feel better soon

It must be kinda existentially weird. I betcha you'll have a 0u novopen stab in the next few days just for old times sake...

But the more pressing issue, Mel, is how are the cats dealing with it - have they tried to paw it off yet?!
