Type 1 Zero Calorie Sweeteners

Is it safe to use them regularly, I afraid that they may affect my kidneys
 
Views on this vary. I've been using sweeteners and diet cola (not too much) for years and have excellent kidney function. I'm sure it's best to avoid having too much but the dire warnings we see on the web are probably not supported by good science.
