Sorry @alphabeta I didn't really think your 'Woke up at 7.6' post 'funny' - was deciding between like and winner and ended up clicking literally somewhere in between like and winner! :D
Oh don't even worry about it I use mostly the app so I won't even know :D

If it's advice you wanted, can I suggest giving the clinic a call :) and demanding asking for an appointment.

Lunchtime food and coffee and feeling quite self satisfied having just had a row with my local sports centre regarding the removal of a swim lane, I'm glad to report they followed my suggestion of opening a second lane and giving half the pool to those who loiter in the shallow end :p :p and the best bit is that they're going to open half a pool at the same time as swim lessons on a Thursday and a Friday so increasing the available public swimming times. I've stopped trolling their Facebook feed as I'm pleased with this :)
Shame my charm isn't working as well with the probate solicitor but that's another story and insulin wise I seem to be using an extra 4u on average for my tea but have only upped my carbs by 30g, I guess it's me settling in with the Tresiba but it's strange how things have changed in the last couple of months.

Ooh Lane swimming, such contentious stuff! Fast lane with heads up chatterers in grr...!

Dances with glee and delight! Helped a student with speech difficulties today to explain to new lunchtime support staff why his diabetes and mine were treated very differently, (he's T2, in his early 20s, and has been so for some time, is neither over-weight nor leading an unhealthy lifestyle, other than a dislike of many vegetables, but is clearly T2). I was so proud of his grasp of both of our versions, for standing up for himself, then we finished off with a high-five and a chorus of "We're both rare and unusual."

What I'm even more proud of is his growing interest and taking responsibility for his diabetes which up until recently he's not done much of. He did admit having someone who understood and could sympathise with him was helping. A lot!

Not bad for Day Three of the academic year. In fact, it's been a good start all round.

Good day to you all

Started off with a 12.2 and now at 14.8

Despite injecting insulin at 12.2 I have gone up

I feel ok a little dry mouthed it otherwise ok

Friends on here have a jolly good day what

Jees Crumbs your in the wars at the moment, yeah I find that as well reach a highish point inject it will still go up for a short while until the insulin kicks in then it starts to drop.

Hope you get sorted matey.

Are they the ones who put their feet down short of the wall behind you as you pass and shuffle sideways to turn round, just as you're kicking off the wall at speed? Then when they're not swimming you get the other one who swims in the middle of the lane but cuts right in front as you try pass on the inside every couple of lengths :)
I often get a better average time on my swim watch on those days powered by frustration....

Thanks Captain Scarlet

I’m not letting my thrust upwards into double figures get me down, no I shall fight them on the beaches and in the countryside I shall never surrender

Been in double figures all day and almost now consistently for a week

I’m tweaking basal and bolus upwards I’m sure I’ll see positive results soon

Morning all, new sensor was far too low yesterday, so I had to rely on finger prick tests. It was a day of quite good blood sugars, but because libre was showing me in the 3s all day, I had to rely too much on finger pricks, and had to do loads. Useful reminder of how much easier it is to manage lower, or in range, blood sugars, with libre working properly.

Anyway, the sensor decided to be more reliable last night about 10pm, just as the test strips showed me a LO that wasn't really one. Can't rely on anything!

Today should be a more normal day, so I'd better start doing things.

We haven't heard from @smc4761 since he was disappointed with his projected HbA1c after his clinic visit, I hope everything is ok for him.

Morning

OK OK OK I know this has been asked a thousand times before, but I'm low, fighting an SQL Server log on and CBA is kicking in because I am off from tomorrow and getting married again next Friday:

BUT

What do people use to stop things like Etch A Sketch button, or my case MiaoMiao, from comming off?

Started off the day 7.1 on the bloods Etch A Sketch say 4.1 :shifty:

Stuff face things going up :writer:

In car close to work LOW Alarm going off :nailbiting:

Flamingo, oh Mel's Cat and a Crested Porcupine thrown in, looks like I got the first insulin blat of the day wrong :meh:

Never mind, I will be ball and batting a spike later on :***:

Time for a coffee.

@helensaramay bring us back some Belgium chocholates please ;):)

@Knikki has casually thrown in this getting married thing a couple of times before, I think he casually mentioned looking at menus for his own wedding related event, a few weeks ago.

But this very important life event doesn't get many mentions.
