Hi Everyone,
Has anyone felt as though their thigh muscles are seizing up?
Two hours ago I ate half a round of small Burgen bread, buttered with roast beef and cheese on. One and a half hours after eating it I started very deep yawning and my thigh muscles have gone very tight. This isn't the first time this has happened to me.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards. Atlantico

I can only guess, I'm afraid.
So don't take this as advice, except that I would definitely see my GP and/or my specialist.
It has the symptoms that something that you have stopped eating has had an effect, possibly some nutrient or say salt is missing from your diet.
I know when I started low carb, that one of the most important change is to take salt, as my previous diet(s), had too much salt and low carb too little. I also had to dehydrate more and drink more water consistently.

It will take time to find the right balance for you.
But keep asking, maybe @Brunneria, has some insight into muscle problems.

Just a thought, are you doing too much, or too much too soon?
Exercise is important, but because too much can be counterproductive, just take it easy on yourself.

I would go with @Lamont D post.
I get some really gut wrenching cramps in my shins, often at night.... GP got nothing to say.....
I add salt to everything I eat and a bit more...

so was happy to see @Goonergal posting https://idmprogram.com/salt-scare/
I think it was Goonergal…. it was earlier today and that was sometime ago.

Good luck

Thank you for your reply. When I started LCHF in August I did use more salt and drank more but have just realised that I am not paying as much attention to this now. I will increase both salt and fluids and see if it helps.
Thanks again.

Hi, thanks for your advice. I am going to add more salt, also fluid and see if it makes any difference.
