Hello,
I'm new here, I posted in the greetings and intros at first, and hope i'm in the right place to post this. Sorry if not.
Its an odd situation and I welcome and appreciate any information or advice anyone can offer. I tried searching but could not find any posts about this particular topic.
I had a blood test a couple of years ago and that said I was not Diabetic. I do have diabetes running in both sides of my family. The weird part is I am getting what I think are hypos on a daily basis now and I don't know what to do. I know this forum cant be used to get a diagnosis, I just really need some information as I have never heard of someone without diabetes getting hypo's. I don't get hyper's. Apart from once it was 10.
I only started testing recently because I noticed some weird symptoms, like feeling dizzy, light headed, out of it, shaky and extremely hungry. Its like I knew I had to get something to eat quick. When it gets really low I start sweating, and can't think or speak any sense. It can happen anytime even if i've eaten. It's becoming quite frightening. I don't think the Dr will test again, but I don't know what to do with the new information I have about my blood levels. I have passed out a couple times I don't know if due to this, but looking back it was how I've just described feeling. Its possible that was because levels were low.
Im not even 100% sure of what level is considered to be "hypo" in non diabteics I think below 4 or 5? possibly, I had one of 2.1 today, maybe that's not too low, i'm not sure. All I know is I felt very unwell and even though I have eaten now I still feel bad. My diet is pretty good and i'm not overweight, I just don't understand
Thank you so much in advance for any advice or information.
