All present & correct with me too! :)

Though my meter takes cartriges, it gives me a readout on how many tests left. If it's low? Replacment is in the bag for when it runs out... I locked & loaded it last night! ;)

Morning chaps, glad to see you’ve got all your kit, what could possibly go wrong?

I’ve got an interview this afternoon with the Welsh Ambulance Service to be a “community volunteer first responder” - basically an enhanced first aider who gets a shout to deal with minor stuff until the proper paramedics get there. Quite excited about this, there’s a fair bit of training too. Fingers crossed!

And then back to reality and decorating the teenager’s bedroom this weekend. He’s going from black walls... to grey.

Yeah all bits n bobs here and ready to go, well as ready as I can ever be which 9 out of 10 times is always a Meh! :)

@Mel dCP Good luck with the Ambulance Stuff all you really want to do is work the blues and twos when they go off out in the van ;)
As for teenage bedroom, back in the 80's a friends parents went off on holiday for a couple of weeks, needless to say we all moved in, (note that when the two weeks were up and parents were do back we cleaned that house top to bottom), thing his parents were not happy about was the fact he had painted his bedroom a deep red and had got a coffin to sleep in :wideyed:.
There were a few rows at his place for a while :hilarious:

As for blood shuger nonsense, went to bed on a 3.2 woke on a 5.1, 'nice' I thought until I looked at the Etch A Sketch and found I had hit the 12 mark :bag::arghh:, least its Friday :cat:

Diabetic kit all present and correct here too! 6.8 before bed 6.2 this morning - a stinking cold is good for me!

good luck @Mel dCP Welsh diabetics can rest easy knowing you're on the case (hopefully!)

Good morning,

Hope the interview goes well @Mel dCP hope those colds and things don't last long @karen8967

Booked a flu vaccine yesterday, for the 13th, a Saturday was all that was on offer. I decided to be good.

Blood sugar overnight was quite nice, actually, not too big a drop around midnight, and not too big a rise later, so I'm happy with that.

Had a really weird dream last night, just going to discuss it with the subject of it, catch you all later.

You get trained in defibrillator, oxygen, and all sorts of stuff - I hope it’ll include BG testing! I was in the St John Ambulance Brigade for years, started when I was six and stayed until my early 20s, and then life got in the way. I used to drive our 1960s ambulance, loved it.

Oh, BG have been ok, a little low just now so have turned the tap off and had a dextrose tab so I’m hot to trot later. I feel a cheese omelette coming on...

Weird dreams? the other night I was 'ordaining' a rather casual marriage of one Harry and Megan, but this time round Megan wasn't quite so up for it and Harry was just up for some fun - it was a private affair with only close royal family in attendance, the big Q wasn't amused.............!

It's not a proper puzzle if you have all the parts to solve it. And anyway, I reckon that's a spare part, leftover from the puzzle.......

The butcher across the road from me has a poster in the window as part of a campaign for public access defibrillators.

Good idea in principle, but there's also about a dozen bars in the area, so it's only a matter of time before a bunch of lads coming home from a night on the town reckon it'll be a larf to start electrocuting each other...

Good luck with the interview Mel, hope it went well.

Big hugs Karen, plenty of fluids, paracetemol and a hot water water bottle and you will be right as rain soon

Had a decent overnight fairly steady if a little high at 8.2. on waking. Had my muesli, all 5 spoonfuls of it and now at 2pm having had chicken pakora for lunch, now at 6.3 without taking any insulin, happy with that.

Anybody else had to cut back on their basal with winters approach? Gone from 11-10 about 3 weeks ago. Cut it to 9 on Monday after a succession of hypos and plunging night time line. Then to 8 this morning after more continued hypos. Feeling frazzled! Am on Toujeo so takes a few days to work through system. Fed up of eating.

The cabinets are locked, and you need to make a phone call to get the code.

Fed up of eating
jelly babies and all things sweet.................?! :p

It is strange that we are affected by the weather, even though most of us move between centrally heated homes to air conditioned cars to heated/air conditioned offices our lives are rarely really affected by the weather.

I feel your pain, but no I haven't..........yet!
