Morning y'all :) another 14 to wake up to, but at least I've not had a sleeping hypo, I woke at 16 in the early hours and had 2u so at the moment I'm using around 4u a day more fast acting than I did with a basal injection on a night.
I had a sleep in tis morning and it felt weird coming downstairs and taking Tresiba and Humalog before breakfast :)

I've got my youngest for the week whilst the ex goes away from this aft which will be fun as I'm stricter than mum and at nearly 12 the child knows everything these days, so as I say it's going to be fun :)

Morning all! Smoothish night here, little dip at around 6am, so had a dex tab, killed the pump for half an hour, farted, rolled over and went back to sleep.

Little trundle to Marlborough today, collecting my son after a weekend with his dad. And Marlborough means Waitrose and charidee shops :smug: I’m hoping to grab some goat’s double cream, proper halloumi (no cow milk), LivLife bread and some turnips. All things I can’t seem to find in South Wales!

But you come find them in New South Wales. But that would involve a loooong swim !!

Mark Twain, When I was 14 I thought my father knew nothing at all, by the time I was 21 I realised just how much he had learned in the past 7 years.

Rainy day so kite flying is out. I had not altered my insulin pump settings so just watched the rain, then called around to a fellow kite maker, yarned, provided inexpert assistance to his kite making project and headed home.
Nothing like socialising and relaxing to keep the BSLs in line !!! Patting the dogs there was also therapeutic!
Now why cannot the Health Services of each country not pair us up with a dog each? Interaction with a friendly dog helps lower blood pressure, helps stabilise BSLs and if you are lucky, the dog picks when you are going hypo before any other method (well... untested for CGM vs dog) but you really cannot pat your CGM the way you can a dog.
Has anyone worked out the relative cost of keeping a dog vs running CGM?

Not having a good weekend at all, dropped very very fast last night so took sugar and biccies to stop the hypo I could tell it was bad one. Of course BG then goes through roof to 16+. Correction dose this morning and for a change did my Novo sluggish in me bum an area I have not injected much before. 2 hours later its gone from a 12.6 to a 4.3 and still dropping. Wheres the jelly beans

Looks like a good excuse not to do any work in garden

Thanks to friends who wished me well

Its defo hypo week for a lot of us

After a few days of smug cheerful bs I’ve been kicked by T1 and wholemeal fajitas. Before sleep bs 8 so 1 unit of novoslow, at 1 am 10 so 2 units of novoslow, on waking at 8 am 14.7. Mel’s Cat!!!!!
Reorganised the netting over the pond so frogs can come and go, talked with Cat, and cursed knackety knees. A good morning. BS now down to 6.9, and himindoors off to the Midlands to be run around by grandsons and the dog.

I’m terrified of dogs, and have the stress related BG spikes to prove it! Prescription cats on the other hand... ❤️:cat:

Hope you get the measure of your insulin needs soon Cumbs, eating for hypos is pants if you’ve lost your appetite.
What’s happened to the man who used to enjoy a full English and fish and chips? Sending hugs and hoping it’s not a longer lasting affliction. Maybe a bug?

Very pleased to see that you are taking good care of your frogs

I’m m bonkers about Frogs think they are lovely creatures

Did you have a talk to your cat to leave the froggies alone?

I did, Cumbs. He seems to pay attention only to mice, he brought me one recently and I thought it was meant as my breakfast but he ate it himself.
The netting will come off the pond when the leaves stop falling so a long time before spawning for frogs and newts.
