Morning guys, how are you all today ? It's Friday and the sun is shining here which is lovely.
I didn't get my phone call yesterday, today's another day, so on wards and up wards.
I awoke on a 7.7, before bed it was 4.4 so I had 2 grapes last nigh,t which brought me back up
Hope all is well with you @Cumberland :)

AAArgh....Just had my DSN on the phone cancelling the appt for Monday as its not a pump appointment!! So my appt with the pump consultant on 20th Dec which was cancelled because I have already seen him has now been put back on the calendar to see the DSN and dietitian about my pump choice? At least it is going thru, eventually :)

@porl69 how do you keep track of your on-off diabetes appointments. I think I may be politely suggesting they considered we have a life outside the hospital.

There is a lot of writing on the top of the work diary AND my calendar on my phone.
And it gives me a half day in work as well (WINNER). Mondays appt is still in the book - a well deserved half day lol.

A late morning from me.

Ran LO most of last night according to Etch A Sketch but I'm not entirely trusting the numbers, still sleep through so that was fine.

Now found a cereal that does not work for me, seems to send me sky high despite the fact it has no more carbs than anything else in the cupboard. Still plenty of other stuff to scoff so its not like I'm going to waste away :hilarious:

@slip pain on the number plates.

@Cumberland Good to see you back on the mend and felling chipper.

Hello folks - glad it's Friday here, been a busy week at work but achieved alot so looking forward to a park run and r&r.

Question - if you're around 4-5 before bed, what do you eat ? I tend to eat a few spoons of greek yoghurt but sometimes will have a bag of crisps and bolus the difference - what does everyone else eat ?

Off out for another interview. I have had 2 possible problems with discrimination in the workplace against type 1 diabetes, so I am looking into it. Life is a challenge at times, but it's a case of trying to pick yourself up and dust yourself off, tomorrow's a new day.
Hope you are having a good day :)

Jaffa Cakes :joyful: (the Food of Gods) however you knew I would say that :hilarious: but to be honest I would eat them if I was closer to 4 that 5.
If 5 plus I sometimes don't eat anything but again it might depend on what I had for tea because I know somethings will hit later on during the night.
Oh and I would not bolus for it :)

A frustrating journey.

Good afternoon all.
@slip, what a PITA about your number plates!
@Cumberland, really pleased you’re the other side of the cataract op and already seeing well!
@Knikki, care to let us know what the cereal devil is?
@Por69 why, oh why, has the NHS forgotten how to do joined up writing!
@Mel dCP, enjoy the gig!
@Robinredbreast, wish I could magic up the perfect job for you and throw in some lovely people to work with - “wand”.
Here I need someone to magic up a new knee, pronto. The limitations of not being able to walk very far and the frequently painful steps are getting me down big time. Still waiting for an appointment with an Orthopaedic Consultant before I can progress to the waiting list for treatment.

I tend to eat half a digestive biscuit and then also feel I have to check again in half an hour or so to see if I need to eat more or correct. I don’t wear socks in bed, odd, coloured or fluffy but the daytime ones have a lasting influence.

Bag of crisps would be my go to between 4 and 5, nine times out of ten it would be fine

Edited so easier to read :)
