Hi I'm new at this, does anyone else have a dairy allergy? How do you get on with the low carb diet. I've gone back to writing a food intake diary everyday to try and decrease my carbs.

Dairy triggered my rheumatism before I went keto, (4 months in it was a LOT better) .Yeah, low carbing is a little bit of a puzzle when eggs and milkproducts are out, but still do-able. There's mayo on the market without eggs, and while I couldn't use cow cheese, I was okay with goat's, in moderation. So for me it was mostly veggies and meats. Bit of a work-around, but like I said, it can be done. Dietdoctor.com has a "dairy free" search option for recepies if you need some ideas.

Hi @Alli444, May I ask what exactly happens if you drink milk?
Just that there are varying reactions that people get.
Sometimes the culprit is the milk sugar, lactose, for others it is the protein component of the milk.
Substituting with soy milk or A2 milk and use of buffalo or goat cheese solved my intolerance to A 1 protein.
If you could reply that could help sort out the best strategy for you.

Evening! I eat <30g carbs a day and am allergic not just to cow dairy (I get breathing difficulties) but also mammal and bird meat. I can eat goat, sheep and buffalo cheeses however, as well as fish and eggs. I eat a LOT of eggs...
