So I managed to get my grandmother eating the same as me but on a more liberal low carb diet than my keto diet. Apparently the persistent soreness in her toe that has plagued her since she hit around 50 years old has disappeared entirely and I myself have noticed my hair coming in thicker and my dandruff is all but gone that was chronic last year.

Just goes to show doesn't it?

Good news all around! Well done.

Great stuff. Yes, a more liberal version is the route I have taken. I too have noticed a lot of changes for the good. It is remarkable really. And in my case no coincidences I might add and presumably so in your cases?

Blood sugars down
Blood pressure down
Weight down
Night time trips to the loo down
Feet and legs so much improved
Flatulence levels greatly reduced
Vision improving
Tiredness down

I noticed your use of the word “liberal” and presume that there is no coincidence with Diet Doctors use of the term :

This is what happens when humans eat food that humans are biologically built to thrive upon.

At first it’s a surprise but then you realise it was always obvious, and that pretty much everything you learned about food your whole life was an elaborate work of fiction. How can eating what you’re already made of - protein and fat - possibly be bad for you? Definitely changes one’s outlook on how society works and how gullible we can all be.

That's no small feat either, trying to get someone important in your life to change eating habits is a big win for both of you. Well done!

I dont think people twig on to that line of thinking very much.

It is of course worth noting that life itself is very much carbon based.

Also add to that : cessation of itchy skin - head and body.

Add to that, the organ used to process fat and protein is the size of a football and weighs a couple of pounds.
The organ to Moderate blood sugar is the size of a fag packet and weighs ounces.

A fascinating fact @Spl@ .

'pretty much everything you learned about food your whole life was an elaborate work of fiction' that's how I feel right now, Jim...I am still stunned.

But size isn't everything.

Lol, quite apart from the fact that the big one also deals with carbs as one of its many functions and is directly guided in that by the wee one!

I gave up looking to this site for any useful guidance on anything to do with biology when it turned out that many had never heard of glucagon.
