I had a wonderful time at RHS Wisley Gardens, Linch before that in a country pub and the owner lit the fire too. Here are some photo's I took on my new phone.

Good morning, lovely people! Still floating high on the results of the blood pressure machine!

Wednesdays. I like them. Relatively easy day on the timetable, I get out of work at 3.00 p.m. (because I do the "be there to supervise early arrivals" shifts, I get to go at 3 on Wednesdays and Fridays) no urgent chores today, unless it's dry enough to cut the grass when I get home. It used to be music teaching nights, but that shifted to Mondays which is less desirable in many ways, but now gives me a long clear evening mid-week which is most desirable.

Morning chaps, had a great day yesterday with the paramedic crew, learned a lot! Had to take a few dextrose during the day as I dropped into the low fours (and suspend the pod for half an hour), but all in all diabetes had zero impact on me. Sugars pretty steady all day in the fives and fours.

Teaching Physics today... and yoga tonight :)

Have a good one, friends ❤️

Goodness you keep busy Mel, with a wonderful variety that's all worthwhile stuff! Glad your day went so well, mine was one of those where you seem to be going at a fairly steady pace all day but at the end of it you've moved mountains of work. Very odd. I'm usually running like the clappers to keep still, if you see what I mean.

Today is a day off - bliss. Just got to get the supermarket shopping out of the way, deliver some meds to my mum in law and walk the dogs and then the day is my own - planning a quiet day's stitching. I know it sounds boring as hell to most, but stitching untangles the threads in my mind.

What sort of stitching do you do?

Morning everyone,
I want a smile too like @Japes but the consultant wasn't too helpful. He says I'm doing well but need to have tighter control. At least he didn't suggest porridge and I had another C-peptide and GAD test done. Not sure why, anyone any ideas?
Couldn't see the carp @Robinredbreast. I do want to go to Wisley though

Did you see the Irish consultant at ocdem? he did it 'to be sure to be sure'..............I'll get my coat and leave now......

but before I do, basal reduced, bolus reduced, glucotabs tube topped up - I'm ready to face the day.

Morning one and all.

Guess I will mention this but earlier in the week was in a kind of dark place and was within 5 minutes of requesting my account be deleted.

But things have changed, as they so often do in my world which is rarely is in real world, and I didn't delete so will be around to annoy you for a little longer.

Bloods rather dull bit a fight yesterday but nothing that a gallon of insulin and creative curses cant sort out.

Wisely is a lovely place, hope to go back there soon when it is sunnier and a little warmer. Also, we had a big surprise as we didn't have to pay the entrance fee, as it is free on Tuesday's, so that saved £13.50 person ( but not sure if stays free during the summer months)
The Carp with it's mouth open, is the round image bottom left, Every time I try to attach am image this site says.' file is too large', so I then have to resize them.

Not 100% sure why but as you are fairly new to this T1D malarkey he might just trying to find out of your Pancreas is producing insulin or finally given up the ghost and maybe change the advise/way you deal/medication?

Like I said just an educated/uneducated guess :)

Glad you are still here, but I think a few feel like that sometimes, keep on posting:).
Have a good day.

Happy Wednesday to you all, my grass at the front needs cutting, some food shopping to do and I need to get another Tesco mobile top up card for new phone, as I topped up my new phone on Monday morning, with the old one, so no credit :oops::rolleyes: Hope I can get it transferred over :)

Thanks for the Tuesday tip @Robinredbreast

Good morning all. Bloods overnight misbehaved last night....woke to a 10.8. Correction with breakfast and now on 14 BUT a downward arrow on the etch-a-sketch

Glad you’re still here knikki, the forum would be a little more dull without you, and who else would encourage us to eat cake?
Bloods ok this morning but I’m still tired. Maybe it’s retreating adrenaline, it certainly seemed to carry me through the first 3 weeks of Hamish’s new home. Maybe it’s the result of battling high winds while walking was unsteady. He’s progressing well and hurting less, which is lovely, but I’m frequently overcome by the snooze fairy.

Glad the world is a better place for you now Knikki. It's easy to go into that spiral of despair and depression. I know, I've just come up for air from one that lasted months. Focus on the good, and on finding something to make each day feel worthwhile.

Turning to the ever present diabetes, I officially hate tramping round the huge supermarket we use. Today I went really, really low in the store. Sit down on the floor low. Luckily I had some sweet biscuits so I sat there munching frantically... My awareness is usually quite good so I have no idea what went wrong today. Home now, and looking forward to a hummus & falafel wrap. Bit carby but I seem to need it at the mo.

Good morning diabetnam.!

It's interesting what triggers a response to wake from a night hypo.

True, this tune cropped up on the radio channel I was listening to at work yesterday & i still marvel at the sillyness of the hook in the chorus.
I sort of went "locust" while this "riff" was rattling round in my head. (Drank a fair bit of milk too.)
A day off with a couple of appointments today, I re- awoke at 8.45 & tested at 23.9Mmol. Gave a correction of 6 units just tested after walking the dog.at 11.09am & it's 7.4Mmol.

I can only assume I was in REM "looper" state while my brain tried to fathom the irony in the lyrics whilst on a drop?

Either way Ronnie James Dio covered my A&E...
