Diabetics R Us

Err they went forward an hour but as it's Sunday and Mothers day you can rest in for as long as you like.

Yeah, one hour for Mothering Sunday and one hour for the clock change, 1+1=2. Mums are allowed poor maths skills today. Perish the thought I should break even on a duvet day ;).

Lame brain bluetit completely forgot about the hour change until about an hour ago. I thought I was out of bed before 8-30, and thought I had time for a bath and hair wash before taking Ness for a walk. Wrong on both counts. Mr. Blue remembered last night and changed the main clock in the kitchen but I didn't notice it.

Happy Mothers Day to all you mums. I had a card from Ness and daughter is coming round this afternoon. It is a lovely day here, so far. Nice blue sky and sunshine, but beginning to cloud over.

I woke to a nice hard rain before dawn, but now the sun is coming out. The computer says 7 degrees but I think it must be warmer as it's not cold in here.

Blummin' cold this morning!

My eldest has taken up woodwork and has agreed to make a raised bed for me. As he lives near a reclamation yard the wood would be cheap and I got to make my own design which is a bonus. I have missed growing my own veggies and a bed would mean less lawn. Win, win!

I thought you were talking about a bed to sleep in to start :p

I just injected for a beer, only to find out the only beer was the beer sitting direcly behind the window of my car on this lovely sunny spring day, leaving me looking stupid at my hot bottle of beer.
I live alone so I really wasn't prepared for getting april fool's day jokes directed at me.
Be warned, the day isn't over yet and it seems diabetes thinks it knows real funny pranks!

Do any of y'all know anything about LED light bulbs? Not related to diabetes, but I've just had a weird experience with one unlike any incandescent bulb I've ever had. This thing is heavy! and it didn't just flash out when I turned the light on, but was pretty dim for a few days and then started to flicker and fade. We put in a new one and it's very bright, but I like the incandescent ones that burn consistently brightly until they just go out. Is dimming and flickering and fading normal for end-of-life for an LED bulb?

Hi all

We got away on Friday in the motorhome and had a lovely weekend. Saturday was glorious, we walked 8.5km and had a lovely lunch sitting outside a cafe in the sun overlooking Ramsgate harbour, I was very good and had a prawn, chicken & chorizo salad.

Had my bloods yesterday, with an extra, PSA.... and today, the place I work closed it's doors, the work is going to France... Brexit, you have to love it... I've got another 5 months to transfer my knowledge about how it is meant to work... so it was steak, salad and some red wine.
Sorry, bit of a downer, be better tomorrow.
Sorry about your job.

Thanks for the hugs, folks, appreciate it, and yes, it was annoying. But where are the medals? After all, I'm the only one I know of who managed to prank themselves on april fool's day! No small feat, I'd say!

And kind of solved the problem by leaving the bottle of beer under running water for a couple of minutes. Lukewarm beer is a lot better than hot beer :wacky:
