Hi

1) It says the monitors are approved for 6 days of usage etc. What's the point of using them for 6 days only? So you cannot use them for life every day?
2) It says it measures interstitial fluid glucose and not blood glucose. The former lags compared to the latter. So what it happens if you read a high interstitial glucose and you get insulin, while your blood glucose is low?

Thanks!

6 days?? Dexcom G series is longer than that and Libre is 14 days least in the UK.

Which one is only 6 days?

Correct it measures interstital fluid which usually has a lag time of 15-20 minutes so if it reads high and your not sure then finger prick, simply same as if you think your low finger prick.

It's not rocket science and it is only a tool to help manage your diabetese.

Not sure which meter you're talking about, but the 6 days will mean that you have to replace the sensor every 6 days, not that you can only use the meter for 6 days.

Generally, it's a good idea to back up the sensor readings with a normal blood test if the readings are very high or very low. The libre specifically warn that they are not necessarily accurate in those circumstances. Personally, I would want to back up the sensor with blood tests for a while before I became confident enough to inject from the readings. It's an awesome device, but it's not a complete replacement for a conventional blood testing meter.

What technology do they use?
I know Eversense uses optical sensor, but what about the rest?
