Not looking forward to today, have to be in court as a witness. Need to get out early for a walk then drop my dog off with a friend as I've no idea what time I might be home. Started higher than I'd like in the 8s today, need a brisk walk to help with that!

Don't forget the biccies or other hypo stuff, and the full kit. Also, take something to do while you're waiting. Awesomely boring just sitting there waiting .....

Gotta dash - dogs need to get to the groomers (wash, cut and blowdry lol) and then I need to be at work by 8.00 a.m.

Have a good one, all :joyful::joyful:

Morning all, Super sunny and was feeling full of beans til I checked BG.........3.5 so I'm not putting my hand up and taking the blame for that. New hypo treatment "zesty lemon and lime" are only just fit for human consumption but did the trick. 2 of them and went up 4mmol. I'm not a big cake fan but I lust after choc eclairs. Not long before diagnosis, I used to eat 2 one after another and then move on to ice cream, a couple of Magnums and I was still losing weight.
Today I'll be getting my stuff together ready to go to Gdansk. Poles are big on cakes
Hope everyone has a good start to their week ............... or was that yesterday? When does the week begin?

Off to the doc for blood tests at 9.00 and start of annual review. Not a great start to the week but whatever the world wants to throw at me I say "bring it on (add any suitable expletive here)".

Lovely sun here, blue sky, fluffy white clouds: what can go wrong?
Oh yes, it’s Monday. Have a good work day if you’re there, hope the Court’s not too much stress @hh1, hope you get a call to some decent pupils @Mel dCP, and dogs behave well at the canine beauty parlour @WuTwo.
Stroopwaffles - yes, but carb content? Good hypo treat too. Pork pies? Have to have a good crispy crust. Steak bake? If very hungry, only if very hungry!

It's a beautiful start to the day here, I have a job i have to do this morning, then hopefully get a bit of sun early afternoon.
Went to bed on 4,8 and awoke on 9.8
Happy Monday, hope it will be a good one :)

Who is Gregg? Not sure what steak-bakes and pork pies are but very much willing to try them with the possible exception of Gregg, I'll have to meet him first.

I like stroopwafels, but only when fresly baked and suffering burns on hands from leaking stroop. The cold supermarket ones aren't worth the hassle of juggling insulin and skyrocketing bg to me.

Greggs is like eat on the go, pasties, sausage roll, cakes etc, but they are starting to go upmarket with, get this, table and chairs for customer;s to sit on :wideyed: and they are everywhere, fast food outlets. I think we have 2 or possibly 3 in my town centre

Yes, but what is a stroopwaffel? I confess that a fellow staff member is our Greggs errand-runner, so I have never actually been in one!

@Fairygodmother The dogs always behave well for Jacqui - they've been going to her since they were babies, and she is a dog-whisperer of the kind sort. They will instantly do absolutely anything she tells themr to, with silly smiles on their faces!

Blimey it was a busy weekend of this thread! Did I miss the party, with celery........thank god I did then! :shifty::hilarious:

BGs have been some what erratic, but back to usual week day levels now.

Was that because they were bad or you don't like the groups?

Live music can certainly be a little hit or miss sometimes.

Never seen either band live unfortunately although I believe Blancmange are still doing shows. :)

Oh bloods, running low at the moment but it will wonder back up, it usually does.

@hh1 Take care and hope it all goes OK.
Don't like blancmange. I always preferred butter scotch Angela Delight

Here you go:

Lol, yes! FEBO... The Krockets.. All you need sustain a touring band on a tight budget. ;)
The only thing I had to reference some of the cuisine to, was a Ginsters.. . No smartphone back then..

I feel I was way off with the shop doorway bolusing. Happy days! Thanks for reminding me. :)

Yes you were. Nasty things to bolus for, kroketten...

The centre of those things were like molten magma too?
Which may have been a cheese variation.

Seriously a long time since I had one....

Hi @Knikki I did go with an open mind, honest, but both were dreadful. Blancmange in particular was just the 2 of them on a stage with black drapes, both of them hiding behind keyboards. The whole thing was very flat

As for Japan to be honest much the same guys hiding behind their keyboards and Sylvian had no stage presence at all. I think they were lucky of they played for an hour

Nope, the meat ones are as certain to leave you with a blistered mouth as the kaassouflé. Never buy a cheese kroket they're mostly flour on the inside, while the cheese soufflé's are heavenly!
