What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning chums,

I was wash with brownie points yesterday. HBa1c official pat the head for my excellent control.. it is 6.6 and both my DN and my GP enthused.. it has come down from 9.1 18 months ago.

Next brownie points for my cholesterol at 3.6 only a minor head pat as I’ve been below 5 since forever.

Next head pats for my weight I’ve put in 0.4 lb since my last weigh in but Lost over 2 stone in the last 12 months.

But on a sad note, my GP has got a shiny new set of scales that are accurate.

No changes in my meds yet.
But overall good girl points

Oh and 6.9 this morning..

happy Tuesday everyone.. kim xx
That is all fantastic news, well deserved. Pleased for you.:)

@Bubbsie great work in the "landscaping" dept! Glad you had a good sleep, and I'm right there with you on nature calling lol.
@DJC3 so is there a cure for evening munchies? It is sooooooo my downfall. When I'm good I'm good, and when I am bad I am horrid! (No curls on forehead though. I wish!)
@gennepher wise choice no AM sherry! We have those blue lady-equipment birds too...
@ianpspurs as I was listening to the birdsong early this morning, I thought, as I often do, of all the many urban folks who would be terrified by Birdsong, because they've never heard it before. They would be terrified by standing in front of a huge tree, because all they've ever seen is Ailanthus sprouting out of derelict buildings. What is there to give these folks peace in nature?

@geefull for your "travel wash" funny. Yuk. Sorry about the mess!
Zzzzz @Freema sleep so very good, I know how you feel.
@Goacher55 way to go on the HbA1c!!!!!!
Folks, I am surprised the forum software lets us say dog doo!!!

6.1 on a lovely May morning. Sunshine and 13 degrees outside. How "cool" is that!

Um. I know it's really cold around the Great Lakes and points south right now but 13? Did you translate that and it's really 56ish? Cos that's what we had this morning.

What urban folks have never heard birdsong? Most of us have heard it a lot, in parks, in our gardens ... all too often, if you ask me, especially too early in the morning waking us up.

What urban folks see a lot of derelict buildings, especially left derelict so long to have any plants sprouting out of them (I don't know what ailanthus is but I am all too familiar with ivy and kudzu!).

I am really confused by your post! :)

Hug for bg being too low for your all round circumstances but a funny in there as well. Typical of your amazing good humour and spirit in dealing with a basket of deplorables life has thrown at you. Go well fella.

Best thing to do with a basket of deplorables is throw them right back -- into the washing machine. ;)

Morning...wish I could have slept longer but nature called!...got through so much yesterday...mainly more planting...watering...clearing up the debris...then slumped in the big phat comfy chair...needed it...woke to a 5.8

I've gotta get my nature to talk with your nature and see if we can get them to call a little later. I would say turn off the ringtone but then I would rather be called out of a sound sleep than not! lol

At this point I think I will wait for my own big phat comfy chair until after I've moved ... if and when ... :)

I was attempting to write on here the other day about the the birds in my garden. There are some small birds where the name begins blue but when I posted it the bit after blue was asterisked out, so I went in to edit the post, then I realised it was censorship. Well, I had better not talk about the pea something butterfly fluttering in my garden....

>^••^<

I'm glad I went back and found this post! :) I'd been wondering and wondering what on earth was meant by lady-parts birds!

We do have a poster on this board with a blue-bird name and they manage very well and do very good posts

Yay, @Goacher55 , Congratulations! (And a commiserating hug for the new scales. Bummer. We have new scales in our fitness center too. )

I am too. I was watching Heartland this morning. The channel that shows it here promotes itself as a "family" channel, so it bleeps out the few d---s the Heartland characters occasionally utter. This morning it made me laugh out loud when it let "b****r" slip by its censor device. I figure the Canadian TV network knows that word but evidently this American channel does not -- it even posted it in the closed-captioning.
