Had blood test this morning to check on Kidney function a repeat after one I had a few weeks back all went well no problems this time, but as I was leaving the nurse/health care assistant said see you in four weeks nobody so far has told me this is going to be a monthly thing so has got me wondering.

At least you know they are looking after you carefully. Can't be a bad thing.

My doctor's office keeps saying something similar to me -- "See you in 3 months."

Next time, if they say it again, I am going to try to be bold enough to ask them why. I'm very grateful that I am finally on Medicare and can afford to see a doctor regularly, but every 3 months is too much of a good thing.

I did no more tests booked for now.

Also got results on line this morning.

eGFR 47 same as last month

Serum creatinine level 133 umol/L a little up on last months still above high reference level.

And Serum potassium level up from last months 4.6 mmol/L to now 5.7 mmol/L

Doc says no further action required

Are you happy with that? As long as the doctor is, all should be well. Fingers crossed for you.

Well done for asking.

What do you think about the results?

I think it's something in the air. Yours is the second hen I've read about on this board laying ostrich eggs!

Meh :meh:

eGFR same as last month didn't expect much change but hoped for an improvement.

some of the others seem to have got a little worse but not drastically I expect there will be further tests at some time to monitor the situation.

@Bluetit1802 I'm not over the moon with it but I think the doc feels it's a wait and see situation so we will wait and see.:watching:

What is causing this? Is it the MG or the medication?

I would think it's the medication more than likely as MG in it's self shouldn't cause these sort of problems though Glomerulonephritis has been known to effect people with myasthenia gravis at times and of course diebetes is known to cause renal problems so it is hard to tell what the cause is.

Sounds like my desk! It fills my office. How much do poorers cost????
Pooter, sorry. Very excited here, am all silly and giddy. I've no idea how much a basic computer costs these days but I'm sure my eldest would build one suitable for my needs but he does keep telling me that he is a very busy man and constantly in demand. ;)

I was going to ask what a poorer is. :)

Then I was going to ask what a pooter is. :D

Now that I know, may I recommend a Chromebook? Mine is a little workhorse. just over 3 years old and working as well as when it was brand new. I saw a similar one at Amazon for under £200.
