I decided to clean my mechanical keyboard and it was so surprising that the keys are so easy to take out. Nothing like the old school keyboards where I broke one of the arms that hold onto the key.

Very late on parade today so late reading about @Japes neighbours. Hugs to you and his family.

I have been spending the day in Hypoland.
I woke a bit low so reduced basal to 85%.
A couple of hours later, low again so reduced basal further to 70%.
A few hours later and low carb salad, I was low again so reduced basal yet again to 50%.
After 30k steps, arrived back home to another low.
At 40% basal I have maintained bg to above hypo for 4 hours.
But why why why?
A few miles of walking usually does nothing. Yesterday was spin but the affect of that only last 24 hours.
Not particularly hot.
No alcohol.
Not excessive exercise.
Just teenage diabetes having a strop.
Hoping for a good night and gym tomorrow to reset the bg.

Sleep well one and all.
Ive been the same for a couple of days helen ive reduced basal and even gave less bolus for meals but still lots of lows

@Japes I'm so sorry, lots of hugs going in your direction :)
@Mel dCP aged macbook eh? I have yet to convince my bf to buy the fancy ipad pro ;) I've been hinting since last year. Octopussy looks fab, any accessories for her? she is looking bare and fluffy.
@helensaramay I hope you're okay! was it a day of eating jelly babies? :(
It’s about ten years old! My dad gave it to me so I could build the loop system (it’s Apple only and I need to create a personal app) on it, but it had to be upgraded to the latest OS, which it isn’t able to run as it’s a bit old. One of the Loop developers sent me a USB stick with a sort of hack on it so that I could upgrade it, and I did that last night. Definitely work on him for the iPad Pro - I bought the really big one a few years ago for my jewellery business (reconditioned so much cheaper) and I absolutely love it. Highly recommend! The Apple Pencil is brilliant for writing notes on it, editing photos, loads of stuff. It’s going to be my Uni workhorse come September!

And Octopussy is a design I found ages ago and stashed in my tattoo design ideas folder, so thought it would make a nice app icon :)

Hope you’re all well. Heading to that London for a few days as a late wedding anniversary getaway. Manflu is hopefully on the way out, blood sugars are behaving much better! Smooth last night at around 5, as opposed to the rollercoaster of the night before.

Have a wonderful day, my lovelies x

I was going to say octopussy would make a fab tattoo design ;)
Argh, my old macbook pro is 7-8 years old - poor guy is running slow and I got a macbook air in 2015 and that is growing strong in speed not so much space. I too would think ipad pro with the pencil would make a great tool for pdf files and writing. :') Have fun in London!

I just need to decide where to plonk the tattoo! My antique MacBook is from 2010, but my dad upgraded the memory and storage as much as physically possible so it’s actually way faster than my two year old PC. I’m totally converted and especially love how it links up with documents etc on my phone and iPad! I’ve got quite a few of my medical textbooks in pdf form already on my iPad, and it’s so easy to read. I’m hoping for a paperless time at Uni, but we’ll see. Do you use the “blackboard” system on your course?

Going to the Bodyworld exhibition in London, teenager is coming down to meet us as he’s with his dad this week. We’re all gruesomely looking forward to it :D

My daughter-in-law has a new tatt (amongst the many). She is a gifted tat artist herself, but at the moment none of the local studios have a spare seat she can rent but she went to Exeter to a guy she knows and he did a beautiful monochrome design on her forearm. It is truly lovely. On her other arm she has one that is in the most beautiful colours, the dominant being a gorgeous turquoise shade. Usually her hair picks out one colour from her visible tatts and I love her individuality.

They came for dinner last night and stuffed back the seitan steaks in sticky garlic sauce. We had buttered asparagus, jacket spuds with butter and garden peas. My hungry son ate every crumb of his seitan! They have gone off clutching the recipe plus a freezer bag full to the brim of frozen food. I gave them the jar of parmegan as well because they tasted, eyes went wide open and they were amazed at its deliciousness.....

Today I am making more parmegan and hopefully (if the wheat gluten arrives in time) seitan bacon. If it doesn't arrive in time, I'll make muffins.

I wouldn't upgrade my macbook (2012) because it's thick and clunky, nothing compared to it's updated pals who are thinner and more glamorous. My bf gave me his old pc and stuck a new SSD in it and it's very fast and I can finally play some games in ultra HD ;)
Oh same, it'd save so much money on books. I'm in between buying books and pdf copies, sometimes I like the physical feel of the book. No, I've seen students use good notes for writing their uni notes and pdf files to highlight etc.
Oh nice, enjoy, it's quite interesting to see the inner bodies ;)

As for the tattoo, I think it'd make a fab back piece ;)

I'd be interested to look at her tattoos
Tbh you're an absolute life saver for vegan recipes, I'll give your parmegan a try some time and hopefully drag my bf into it. The vegan cheeses, bacon and sausages (the stuff we've tried) are not bf approved but I quite enjoyed it. He said vegan cheese is weird, it melts but it's not stringy.

Yeah - I'm not too keen on most vegan cheeses. The one I get on with best is Violife but I have recipes for cheeses and I see from Amazon that there are entire books full of recipe ideas and how-to's, so I'll get the one with the best reviews.

@MeiChanski - go here https://itdoesnttastelikechicken.com/recipes/

I use a LOT of her recipes. One of the tabs at the top is for videos, and they're good to watch too.

I love tattoos. Had a half sleeve finished last year, and am putting some designs together for more!

Vegan cheese is so disappointing on the whole, and as I’m allergic to nutritional yeast, making my own is tricky. Luckily I’m not allergic to sheep, buffalo and goat milk, so I can have their cheese.

It's what the vegans were hyping about - violife. I bought the cheddar slices from Booker and had it on toasted bagel thins and his facial expression said it all tbh :hilarious: My youngest brother thought it tasted weird. All in all, I was the only person who finished the wholesale packet of violife cheddar slices. :hilarious:

Thank you so much :)

Oh nice, I'd love to see the end masterpiece ;)

Yeah - my husband doesn't like vegan cheese at all, but I have a recipe for mozarella (as soon as the carrageenan kappa arrives) and I'll make some, whack it on the pizzas and see what it's like.

Morning, awoke on double figures, sigh,:( but wont let it spoil my Sunday. Going to Henley on Thames this afternoon and then having a meal cooked for me, so looking forward to a chilled out day, as last week was pretty full on.
Have a great Sunday guys :)

What a lovely day out @Robinredbreast - ******* the double figures - just enjoy what sounds like a great day out :)

Daughter is lending me a nail varnish, so I am going to paint my toenails..............gold, as they are red at the moment :)

I've actually got some self tanner in my basket at Amazon because I looked at my legs and was nearly blinded by the gleaming whiteness of the wretched things. It's too hot for jeans or trousers at work now (we have huge windows that get all the sunshine, all day long) so I want to wear skirts ..... hence, a little help!
