Type 1'stars R Us

Hot (or cold or even iced) beverages seems to have us going in this thread, we're still going a day later listing preferences.

Little to report today. One of those quiet, run-of-the-mill work days where nothing went wrong and nothing stood out as going particularly well.

I have been upping my doses though as the temperature has dropped off again. No doubt it'll rise up shortly and I'll be backing off on them again.

Have a fine evening folks.

I have had an offer of a permanent role as School Escort, up until the end of summer term, mid July I think it is, so 5 days a week. I have 2 hospital appointment in June,I told transport manager and she will get cover for those.
I'm so pleased :)
Great stuff, well done @Robinredbreast - will you need to do more intensive testing for driving purposes or is it within the 2 hours?

Hey RRB that’s great news. So happy for you. Definitely put one of those big Top Bananas in you pack up.:)

Weston Super Mare? No idea what its like just always one of those place I should gone to but never been :)
We took the grandkids there last year. They still talk about the holiday we took them on 2 yrs previous at Weymouth. That should tell you something :)

Looked at Whitby but the journey time is silly. done lots of work in Bournemouth so that's not new. Thanks @Fairygodmother I'll check out the other 2

I like the quieter side of Bournemouth and I do love walking up the zig zag path and looking out at the spectacular views :)

Planning out of the window so debating reheating my dinner to eat it or forgetting about it altogether for today. Made leek-cheese-mushroom soup for dinner this afternoon and thinking about adding @WuTwo 's wonderful baked tofu bites (https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/baked-tofu-bites.164169/) on top when around dinner time my neighbour called if I could help him out. Turned out he wanted me to cut his hair with the electrical hair cutting thing with the longest extender on to surprise his wife who recently said he needed a haircut. No prob, so said neighbour now has a haircut like a toilet brush. Anyway, one thing led to another, so 2 beers and a jenever later I figured it was high time for my summer haircut. Neighbours wife turned up halfway through my new punk haircut and insisted on trimming the edges.
Back home I started preheating the oven (takes 15 minutes with my 1950's stove) for the tofu bites and forgot about it for an hour. Put in the tofu bites and heated up the soup and called a friend because the soup was to hot to eat. That was 2 hours ago.

Moral of this story: alcohol doesn't go well with dinner plans but at least it gives you a fresh summer haircut :)

Neighbour Douwe with his new hair :)

Must be complicated for both of you! So hugs to both you and your husband!

Most of the time he eats vegan, which makes it loads easier. It's just now and then that he sees something fleshy that he really wants to eat. I never, ever, say a word against it because that would be wrong in my book, but I don't like sitting opposite him at the table when he does it. Using trays is a great compromise.

Haircut 100! Sorry, hadn't said that in nearly 40 years.
It was an old school big up when anyone came out the barbers... :)

Sat under an awning right now on a French campsite after waking at 5.50 with a 3.3er.. two hours later. 7.3.
My wife had moved my stash in the night & I may of flattened the dog in the scramble. :banghead:

At least you didn’t try to eat the dog!

Wait until the dog wakes up and see what kind of filthy look he shoots at you.... mine give me the evils if I've done something either of them think is wrong....

Morning all, stonking headache, feel ******, not happy.
@MeiChanski you talk about dangerous hypos and @Knikki bad ones so in your opinion and others, does last night's offering of 1.7 count?
And the consequence of panic stuffing face, not eating, 13.4 this morning
So the question is how low can you go before you phone for an ambulance?
There is no logic, the sun's just gone in and I can't be bothered to think about a holiday. Depressed
