Morning all, stonking headache, feel ******, not happy.
@MeiChanski you talk about dangerous hypos and @Knikki bad ones so in your opinion and others, does last night's offering of 1.7 count?
And the consequence of panic stuffing face, not eating, 13.4 this morning
So the question is how low can you go before you phone for an ambulance?
There is no logic, the sun's just gone in and I can't be bothered to think about a holiday. Depressed
Morning, I had a bad night with a very painful throat, excess white frothty phlegm, which made me heave up 3 times, left side of head is painful and head feels heavy.
Throat is feeling a little better now, sipped some tea too, but throat still sore.
At least you didn’t try to eat the dog!
Hi @SueJB Why do you think you went so low ? An ambulance is necessary if you required assistance to bring round, so unable to treat yourself, it's a rare event to have this assistance but also do you have a glucagon pen for injections at home ? My DSN made me get one but haven't ever needed it, thank goodness.
Sorry to hear you've not well @Robinredbreast - you can get an excellent throat spray from the chemist which numbs sore throats, bought one for my partner yesterday as he went home ill from work, worked brilliantly, sorry I can't remember the name but it's an over the counter thingy.
Thanks @MeiChanski better but not happyMorning
@SueJB I hope you're feeling better! I still recommend that jam sandwich.Did you call your team to discuss it on the phone what may be causing the hypos?
Today I woke up at 10.5 and took tresiba and continued sleeping because hormone monster said "I felt like I've been run over by a truck". So now i'm back on the land of the living and at 12.7, waiting for novorapid to kick in for some food.![]()
Worked out the cause yet @SueJB ?2 hypos yesterday and 2 more today
Went as low as 3.3 just now and didn't feel a thing this time, my fingers are beginning to hurt from all this pricking. Should I just stuff a load of biscuits inside me instead of glucotabs and cheddars?
Worked out the cause yet @SueJB ?
Perhaps make sure they check your kidneys as well @SueJB when you see the doctor/nurse and given the frequency of your hypos the sooner the better to visit.Morning all, stonking headache, feel ******, not happy.

Thanks @Knikki, it's an idea but I reckon 10.6 means there was a fair amount of glucose sloshing going on. But the double whammy might be right.@SueJB After doing a bit of digging and some guess work I MAY have come up with an answer to your night time low. Again this is speculation.
If you look at the Profiles for Levemir it shows that over a period of time there is peak which is round the 4-12 hours, round 8hrs appears to be max.
Rapid has a peak and a sharp one between 30min -1.5 hours.
Now based on the rough timings you gave for last night, you might have accidently got the peaks of both insulins hence the drop also if you add in that at that time of the morning, which normally the body "should" be in a deep sleep so using less energy etc means that you did not have very much glucose sloshing (I do like that word) around the system so double whammy, with the insulins.
At a guess, had you left things alone you might have dropped to something like 8.5 - 9.9mmol when you woke ~shrug~
As I said its just a thought and I might be barking (quite madly) up the wrong tree.
Least you OK...…….well, apart from the headache![]()
Love the happy dancing @helensaramayI have just been on the phone with Medtrum. The paperwork is complete and I am now officially a patch pumper. Cue happy dance!
I can see from my GP online records that my Libre has been prescribed for which I will add a little jig to my happy dance.
My afternoon meeting has just been postponed for a couple of weeks for which I have added a do-si-do to my happy dance.
Evil D was a little high when I woke this morning but I will not let him trip me up during my happy jitter bug.
Hugs to @SueJB and virtual hug to @Robinredbreast (I hope you'll forgive me for not wanting to get too close).
@Antje77 you are worrying me - I will be spending a night in Amersfoort next week. I hope my colleague does not decide to shave my red locks.
