Does anyone find in hot weather they swell up.

I’m like a little puffa fish. This morning even my sandals were tight. Don’t think it’s diabetes because that was happening before.

I’m drinking but still dehydrated (bursting for toilet so can’t drink anymore)

Also time of month which is painful. Think I’ve shrunk during the day but it was horrible this morning.

Yes, the heat and inactivity have that effect for me.
Bur mainly it is what I have eaten.
Last year (in all that heat) I was fine until I ate some things I shouldn’t. Turns out that gluten and stuff like polyols make me retain water.

Now that’s a lesson I could have done with learning about 20 years ago! :hilarious:

can you explain what you mean please? and how are your blood sugar levels?

I’m drinking as much as I can but being stuck in car limits it somewhat. I am constantly thirsty but I can’t get to toilet in lessons so have to wait minimum of 2 hours. So I can’t just drink and drink. My mouth is really dry at the moment for example.

I’ve drank almost 2 litres today. I’ll drink loads now before bed.

Sorry forgot about levels. At 1 ish they were in the 5s. Haven’t tested since.

as your blood sugar levels are fine, I recommend speaking to your GP. Fluid retention and continual thirst can be a symptom or side effect of many things.

To be honest my meds cause dehydration so figure it’s that.

Up until today hadn’t noticed the retention for a long time
