Can anyone guide me as to how to do this, if it’s even possible? Many thanks, all. Have a good day.

Need a bit more info. Export from where? App, reader, libreview?

What data? Everything ie every 10 minute reading, scans including your input.

If you use the reader (rather than or as well a phone) the Freestyle Libre PC software can do it - the software is downloadable somewhere on the Freestyle Libre website (can remember exactly where though).
If you have the software already installed, plug in your Libre (via USB cable), run the software, and its one of the options on the File menu:
upload_2019-10-22_6-49-36.png

Its exports it in csv format, for the last 3 months - as that's all that is held on the reader.

If you use your phone, obviously you can use LibreView to view the data online, but don't know if it can be exported in any useful format.

For my info does the export from the desktop output every 10 min readings or just scans? The latter is all you get from libreview.

To export from the phone you have to get s bit techy. Use android ADB backup to get hold of the file, a bit of fiddling, then open the mysql database with an appropriate tool. The details have been posted here previously.

An alternative is to have s diasend account which can grab the data itself, then export all the cgm data from there.

I shows all of its readings as well - ie every 15 mins eg.

The columns that it exports are:
ID Time Record Type Historic Glucose (mmol/L) Scan Glucose (mmol/L) Non-numeric Rapid-Acting Insulin Rapid-Acting Insulin (units) Non-numeric Food Carbohydrates (grams) Non-numeric Long-Acting Insulin Long-Acting Insulin (units) Notes Strip Glucose (mmol/L) Ketone (mmol/L) Meal Insulin (units) Correction Insulin (units) User Change Insulin (units) Previous Time Updated Time

Obviously I've only included the first few columns for my numbers.
Edit: yes it's in tab delimited format so doesn't copy and paste that well ...

Thank you for your replies. I meant to say export from my iPhone scans of the libre sensor. I’ve now looked at the libreview and I’ll use that. I just wanted more detailed numbers on the daily graph. Thanks again all.

Hi...unfortunately Abbott do not make it easy, which is a shame with a ton of data available. I have to submit regular medical reports for work.

In the app, go to the menu, select the report you want to down load, e.g. Daily patterns over 7 days. You can then extract in a number of ways. Select the data button and it’ll give you a few options. For example, email. All it effectively does is take a screen shot and attaches it to the email though, which you could simply screen shot to save an image anyway. I paste these images onto a document to save records for my medical examiner.

I’d prefer more relevant data and the ability to look at more detailed graphs though. For example, the detail and helpful reporting is great on mySugr, but that uses finger prick data from a connectable meter, not a libre.

I hope abbot will update the app one to allow this, after all there 24/7 data available. I can’t get on with libre view.

You might want to look at diasend. Lots of NHS health professionals use it. You just give diasend your libre account details and it does the rest. It's a bit plain in its presentation but has a lot of relevant info.

My HCP consultant certainly has a good grasp of my misdemeanors with a momentary glance.

Thank you for this, Clive. I hope so too; I don’t get why it has to be so complicated when our lives are already complicated by diabetes! Ah well, we soldier on, triumphant!

Thanks barrym. I love the fact you have misdemeanours! Appreciate the advice, very much.

Doesn't anyone else think is bizare that Abbott insist on everyone having an account with them to just download your data from your Freestyle Libre Reader? I've been arguing back and forth with Abbott technical support and they are completely useless, there does not appear to be any way to get your data off your device without also submitting it to Abbott and agreeing to the Abbott terms and services (i.e. they can abuse your data any way they like).

I think you can use the desktop app, if it's still available, to suck the data from your phone for analysis, and exporting without any Abbott account.

I think that's how it works.

Of course most of us want it to be on the cloud so that are HCPs can see it.
