What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Finished my Christmas present shopping...I refuse as much as I can to trawl round the shops this time of the year...so all done online Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Good afternoon, the site is back up and shortly, other lengths available, I shall be off out and must find my under and over wear before I go out. Mrs J does not approve of me walking around with no clothing on.

An ok 6.8 this morning.

Have a good rest of the day.
Had a great time in the dark and dangerous norf, but back in soft darn sarf now.
Bye bye for now.

yo..good peoples of the bestest forum thread..
nice to see us all back together and all looking to be doing well today.

for me it's been a good day, so far

good nights sleep (late to bed, watched the TWD..oohh, then watched some of series 7 again)
and late up as well..yeehaw
.
had a beer and some vodka & tonic as well, so pleasantly surprised FBG was a much loved favourite of 5.2.
weight had been creeping up the last few weeks, only 2/3 pounds or so
so happy the scales declared a dead on 190, (Quite chuffed as missus cruelly mentioned i now had a tummy again..:***:
while i was quietly imbibing of said beer :D)

AND having been adopted by our neighbours cat, i was wondering how that impacted on me, re asthma, as some cats do cause me an issue..so while dark spring clean ongoing, i dug out my tool to measure my breathes..was a max of 500 for me pre dx.
today i hit 600 constantly, and that's feeling a little bunged up.(small cold coming or the painting fumes, time will tell)

so all in all a good un, and now off to meet so old work chums for a beer or two

have a good un all.

Ps, @johnpol

LOVED the bully pics..top man.
and no wonder you needed power lifting training...LoL:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:.

Morning all after a small scuffle with the meter of doom, he very petulantly threw 7 at me I gratefully exited the kitchen at speed, wondering if he wanted round 2. Not much to report other than only a small leap greeted me on my return from work, Sidekick Sid must still be tired from his exertions on Sunday (don't know how he just sat in his bed all day).

Take care everyone.

the following picture is Sidekick Sid in his natural resting position every evening, morning, afternoon or whenever I'm sat down really (its the real reason I go to the gym :))

Awww ... that is such a sweet picture! My cat does the same thing -- but she is about the size of his Sid's head!

Should be ok, even if you do get nicked.
doubt it would stand up in court...;)

boom boom.

ok, i'll get me own coat..:sorry:

6.8 for me on a lovely grey rainy morning.
@PenguinMum I would've come knocking on your door saying come dance down the halls!
I haven't even started thinking about Christmas shopping yet, but I think I will do it all online this year. Order it and have everything shipped directly to the recipients since I now get free shipping with Amazon Prime For Old Folks.
I need to start thinking of what to eat for Thanksgiving dinner. The local Chinese-Thai restaurant "may" be open this year, they're not sure yet.

Very sad news on the kitten front..the little black & white kitty died due to a nasty bacterial infection...had a call from Wood Green who have said the little Tabby is also unwell they should know in the next 48 hrs whether he will make it...they did offer me other kittens but I have said I want to wait & see how Charlie does it would be wrong to abandon him now...he also has other litter mates so if they make it we will still have two fur babies from the same litter...I haven't told the girls & unless I have to I won't...so fingers crossed for the news on Friday everyone please.

@HarryBeau what tragic news! I’m so so sorry to read about poor Lola. Keeping everything crossed for Charlie and good news tomorrow. You did absolutely the right thing in waiting to see how he will be before looking at others, and also not mentioning it to the girls yet. Hugs

Oh, @HarryBeau , I am so sorry to hear this. Poor little Lola. I am praying for Charlie and pulling for him to pull through. Big hugs to you and to him and his litter mates. ^. .^

Thanks everyone for the comments on Sidekick Sid, the true love of his life is Princess Trixie "Pocket Rocket" who is a rescue from the Edward Foundation, she hated him at first but are joined at the hip now. best decision we ever made adopting the pair of them.

Is the higher number better, or worse, than the lower?

@PenguinMum thanks for the cheese scone recipe I’ve saved to to Copy Me That and am thinking about making a lc cream of mushroom soup to have with one for lunch tomorrow. Your M&S soup recently has put me in the mood to banish the wintry weather.
@Debandez you really are amazing! Such energy and enthusiasm, hope your latest lc info talk is a great success.

' morning all. 7.9 greeted me at 8.30am. Had my HbA1c results back and was expecting 'to have increased following the last few turbulant weeks of stress/ eating as & when etc. Went to the surgery prepared to argue my case against increased medication only to find it has gone down slightly with the report " Excellent progress. Only 1 above ideal. Continue with same lifestyle. Repeat in 6 months." I think she said it was 51? Not sure about that as I thought the recommended level for Type 2 was lower than that. Anyway I'm hoping to get back to more "normal" LC eating habits from now on--if life will allow. Enjoy the rest of your week folks and make the most of today's sunshine! :)

Well done! Especially after your recent stresses.

Thanks DJC I wont tell the girls even if he doesn't make it...they were heartbroken over Churchill...Wood green have said we can still have two kittens & did offer others if I wanted but waiting for Charlie...his litter mates are also unwell but if they make it we can still have two siblings...this pet ownership can be heart breaking t times...fingers crossed for good news on Friday.
