Thanks for the advice! I am only using Lantus (4 units am and 4 units pm)at the moment and my glucose levels are between 5.5 and 10 all day. I don’t eat a lot of carbs normally and have been using Michael Moseley’s recipes when I can but feel that I still need some carbs on a daily basis.
It sounds like you are already eating lowish carb. As a T1 you have a lot more dietary choice than a T2, because you can modify your insulin to match your carbs. And those blood sugar results are excellent, I'd be overjoyed if I kept within those results all the time, and I've had nearly 50 years of T1.
But on the other hand, there's no harm in signing up and getting information about low carb diets, even if you don't use it.
And if it turns out that you're T2 rather than a T1 who is still honeymooning, going low carb could reduce or even eliminate the amount of insulin you need....
But do be careful about a sudden reduction of carbs in your diet when you are taking insulin, as that is very likely to cause a hypo (too low blood sugar).
