Ann, being a T2 Carb-dodger, I tend to do a Pretendy Paella, using Cauli rice. Before diagnosis, we always used this recipe, from Nigella, and still base the Pretendy variant on it.

If you fancy a practise run, it is delicious and very quick and easy to do. If you don't have a paella pan, a good wide frying pan works just as well. Paella is ace!

Getting the thread back on topic.
Breakfast . Granola and yogurt. Wife had arranged for us to do a litter pick this morning so a breakfast was needed.
Malt loaf prior to a visit to the gym.
Roast beef dinner very imminent :). Beef, mashed, roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots.

Breakfast (which I don't usually have), a big old bowl of porridge with...gulp...horror...NON berry fruit! A fig, no less. Just about to have liver casserole and a plate of mashed potato. x

Breakfast was greek yogurt with banana, honey and walnuts. Lunch was a frangipane mince pie leftover from Christmas :D for tea it was chicken tikka masala with some added green beans, brown rice, some onion bhajis and pakoras from the freezer, mango chutney and minty yogurt. Tea, water, apple juice (for a hypo) and tomato juice to drink.

And there was me thinking no judging here. Suppose sarcasm doesn’t count.
I wasn’t judging or attempting sarcasm. :).
When I read your post I’ll be honest I was looking for the next line. The reason, the excuse, the logic even.
I then realised that everything I needed to know was there, all in one sentence.
Probably one of the best posts on the thread so far.:)

Hello,

I had a shake again for breakfast, 15g, then a snack of 4 short cake biscuits 15g, 1 tea cake 23g, a bit of cheese and half a banana 7.5g. Then later I’ll cook crispy chicken for my bf again because he enjoyed it, I’ll do pan fried cauliflower for me with ramen noodles and eggs with mixed veg.

Not being able to eat as many chocolate digestives as I used to.
Following the missus around a shopping mall in Marikina. Blood sugars down to 4.2 and starting to feel it.

A Belgian chocolate waffle and a "3 in 1" coffee should sort it out. Probably going to be sky high in an hour's time and jacking up again.

Finding the combination of heat and change of routine a bit of a challenge, but oh boy I'm loving the carbs.

Bigotry, reliance on unsupported 'facts', unkindness, unfairness.
Just 10g of wholemeal&rye&spelt bread for breakfast today, but yesterday
Breakfast 20g granary bread, half with marmite half with homemade gooseberry jam
Lunch 20g cheese and cucumber sandwich, friend’s homemade banana and spelt cake (guessed 25g), a tangerine, and said no to white chocolate being shared round - don’t like white chocolate, just milk or plain.
Way home, jelly babies (meh)
Supper baked potato, broccoli, mushrooms, cold boiling joint.
Before bed more jelly babies, a gingernut, a rich tea. Yesterday was a seesaw swear of a day.
