Please, for the love of god, someone help me with how to get rid of the awful itching and burning that I have experienced in the lead up to and just after being diagnosed?
Cream does not work. Natural yoghurt doesn’t work. Baby soap/gels do not work.
It is driving me insane and I have scratched so much that I think I’ve torn my skin which never heals as I’m always scratching!
It’s getting to the point where it’s driving me to tears and I just need som advice on how to deal with it/make it go away.
Thank you in advance.
Hi
I'm a casual visitor to the site and never posted but I really related to yr post and I've been in that position. 3 yrs back with a lot of family stress and very poorly controlled diabetes, dreadful diet I got thrush. My doc took ages to diagnose and treated for derma conditions first. Only that my routine smear showed some candida did we get on the right track.
I would be awake half the night scratching, I scratched to the point bleeding too and had dreadful gastro issues at well.
Highly recommend to eleviate the immediate distress get a tablet called Fluco...something-or-other. Think in uk it's readily available in supermarket. I had to take two, tho usually One tablet works. Within about wo hours I felt the itch reduce.
Then I took stock and followed a candida detox (Lisa Richards) Learnt a LOT about this little ******, thriving in the sugary environment, multiplying, hiding in a biofilm to avoid our system detecting it. I followed a detailed online programme, took 8-10weeks but there was no rush as the Fluco...wottsit had taken the immediate problem in hand. Learnt to listen to my body (I was quite deaf) lost almost two stone and nailed it.... Best hba1c ever too. All good till this past six months, almost one stone back on, poor diabetic conrol etc and I can't quite motivate myself to get fully on the candida-busting road again. But I will.
Things like going commando at night will help, cotton (white, no irritant from dye) pants, no pantie liners unless needed feminine wash products all good too but when ur that miserable please get the flu... Oh to hell with it I'm using a Google lifeline.... Fluconazole(i think).
I wish u a speedy recovery.
