Hi, I'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are around the coronavirus and their diabetes/dealing with things, are people worried etc.
My thoughts are as follows, (purely from a selfish point of view and without meaning to be insensitive) I am a type 1 diabetic of 32 years, I'm 34 so had it since I was 2. For me I am worried about people around me, family etc but the virus really doesn't concern me as I have been battling my own 'war' for many years with an illness that isn't going to go away- I am working from home, I have had many arguments with doctors etc in the past how I don't feel perfect control with my diabetes is possilbe with everyday life, I.e working, leisure, child care... in a perverse way the virus and staying in has made this a possibility and at the moment my control is near perfect I am managing to go for very long walks, exercising on an exercise bike and things I just do not have the time to do in 'real life' (obviously I wish the circumstances in which the opportunity has arose were different though)
thanks-
