What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning...raining here at the moment watching the rain while my second coffee is brewing...rather envious of @Krystyna23040 and @Alien Aspie sitting in their conservatory having coffee I have to be satisfied watching it from the dining room...beasts are frustrated by the weather so presently viciously attacking the latest cardboard box delivered from Amazon...I have found Amazon to be invaluable during this crisis a huge box of cat food safely secured...two appointments yesterday one with GP had a good review & the usual discussions on statins it was a no thank you from me...the second at the anti-coagulant went smoothly another good result so my concerns about having them both in the same day were unfounded...woke to a 7.5 no hugs had a day filled with contraband won't go into details it will shock you.

It is the stuff that was hibernating in the fridge. I am trying to be patient with it, washing and changing the milk each morning - it could take a week or two - or nothing. Just have to wait and see.
Hopefully it will fully revive in a a week or two.

We were having problems getting organic milk lately from local supermarkets and bought some milk from a local farm. It's not organic but they have guaranteed it is antibiotic free. The kefir is different with this milk. Tastes lovely but not quite so thick and the grains are growing much faster.

Beautiful fluffy, cloudy, blue sky this morning with the sun shining through. Definitely a painting opportunity for those who have the talent. Thank you so much for your artwork, because of all the beautiful paintings, I find I am noticing and appreciating the things I see around me much more. I was sitting in the Sun Room yesterday chilling (figuratively speaking of course as it was red hot) and I found myself studying the tub of geraniums that are in there, trying to observe how to draw them. As I can't draw, for my next project anyone need any geranium cuttings?

Bloods 5.3 this morning.

I feel like I have done a full day's work...well I have been up since 3 am

DONE LIST:
Taken readings
Cuppa
Taken meds
Fed the cat
Cuppa
Sorted a cupboard in the kitchen
Cuppa
Sorted a cupboard in front room
Cuppa
Breakfast of 3 hard boiled eggs from yesterday
Posted on here
Filled birdbath with water
Did a bit of gardening around birdbath
Cuppa and watched blackbirds having a bath
Washed pots
Then went into my Art room and decided to unearth some bags of art stuff I bought before the lockdown. My friend who had been with me asked me why I was buying more and I said because I want to and you never know when it might come in use...well, it is like I have just been shopping today opening all these bags. All these lovely art goodies and art materials and art paints and so much more. It is like I am having a birthday party on my bed (I just don't have the cake to go with it, but the bags of surprises are good...)

WHAT MIGHT GET DONE LATER:
A pastel painting is the rain holds off (and I am seeing enough blue in the sky to patch a pair of sailor's trousers)
Gardening
A long snooze in the potting shed this afternoon with Popeye
A few more cuppas...

I love geraniums @Ryhia I grew all kinds of fancy ones as a teenager. I love breathing in the smell of those plants...

Good that the clinic appointments went well. I agree with saying no to the statins and that Amazon being invaluable during the crisis. Holland and Barrett 's deliveries have been dreadful.

We had our conservatory built 6 years ago and it quickly became our favourite spot to relax in - summer and winter. The house is L shaped at the back so the conservatory only has two glass walls which means it stays cosy in the winter. I love hearing the rain drumming on the roof.

Put your feet up and enjoy your coffee @HarryBeau
:)
That's all I've been doing for the past month or so gennepher...although I did notice with two appointments the shopping & the driving by the time I got home yesterday I was shattered...I must do more see if I can get a little stamina back...but to be gracious I am going to take your advice the coffee is brewing.

Well currently there are orange, salmon pink, magenta, bright red and fuchsia ones in flower in the Sun Room - going a bit stringy so time to take cuttings

Apologies not a very good snap.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who might have to change plans for today, here is an example.

""Hmm it's not nice outside, now shall I use the large cup or stick with the smaller cup and make more trips to the kettle as I sit on my bottom doing nothing on this damp day?""

A 6.6 this morning, that meter is suspiciously quiet.

Well folks how is your day going to go, well I hope.

Stay well, stay safe and stay at home....well I hope to.

Damp start to the day, lot of rain overnight, had hoped to finish painting but have now got new issue. Paint is definitely a different shade to the rest. Sent MrSlim photo. Old paint tin. Number is obscured. DRAT.
@dunelm do you buy ginger seeds? Love the idea of growing my own ginger. MrSlim would enjoy it pickled. Looked up the fibre flour. Ooh pricey !!

Edited to Add: @dunelm considering buying that flour. Free delivery from amazon.fr helps. Is there a recipe, or two on the packet? It might behave differently to standard bread flour.

@gennepher my leeks and spring onions in jars in the windowsill are growing. Excitingly so is one out of the three planted in the garden.
Now dithering.
paint or not?
Flour??
Inside jobs ?

Weather forecast was awful. Will try to post a screenie. But now sun is trying to break through.
Am out of potting compost. Google says 29 min cycle ride. 8.1km.to the nearest supermarket. For me probably more. In the short time taken to establish this has started raining. End of that dither.
Coffee

It would be nice to go back to needlework.. great occupation for wet days, but getting the canvas and wools, almost impossible here.Screenshot_20200427-173533_Google.jpeg

Well why not...life is normally hectically busy for most, and driving and finding parking spaces. This is time to learn to unwind.

But yes, because you are going out less, the stamina you once took for granted in going out and doing shopping and appointments has slowly crept away.

Always a cuppa first :)

That is great @SlimLizzy
I am finding window ledge spring onion growing really good.
I like that one of your garden leeks are growing!

I hope you are enjoying the job you decided to do :)

A cuppa first...

I love it MC

My ipads predictive word ability is getting weirder and weirder, just goes to show what other nonsense I must Type into my iPad, obviously too many illustrated Children's Stories for my virtual granddaughters.
