What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

First attempt at courgette crisps.
Now have five more in fridge. Also wondering about beetroot crisps. View attachment 42145
They look very accomplished. Beetroot crisps work well as do parsnip crisps - cut very fine to keep carbs down. Mandolin wind can be a problem. By now you must have a house full. Not so much a bubble, more a jacuzzi.

No problem with car by parsnips, they failed to germinate. But there are beetroot in the garden, planted for MrSlim, I tried learning to like beetroot last year, but abandoned the experiment after several months, when it became clear that my dislike was actually growing. However beetroot crisps are acceptable.

Fbg 6.9

Temp 35.7

Woke up at 2:30, from a nightmare where my head was being sliced off with a sharp knife. And no, I don't even have a telly. And I do not watch murder movies.

That were other people in that nightmare who had their heads sliced off...

The nightmare was to do with a perception of the Coronavirus, But why we all had to have our heads sliced off with an incredibly sharp knife, I do not know...

Going to try and meditate now.
Will be back later if I still have my head....

Take care

Good Morning and 6.1 for me today.

Wet day forecast here so looks like I'm in for a good soaking as I have to collect my repaired Mountain Bike.

Keep dry, keep smiling and keep a grip on your reality whatever that maybe.

6.2 this morning as I join @gennepher in the weird dream dept. In mine, I was trying to prevent children from throwing their shoes under the wheels of moving cars. Not my usual type of dream :wideyed:

Out and about again today as her ladyship is due in for her op.

Do your best with your day, it will be over too soon ;)

I am writing out my postcards now for my Postcrossing.

This is one I'm sending, and then I thought do any of you remember the Anderson shelters. That is the one on the left on the side of the postcard, not that fancy fairytale one on the right!

It was sunk into the garden much further down than the one on the left, so you had to go down steps to get into it. There were loads of them all about the place, and in everyone's gardens then. This was a few years after the war and they were still around. Some households used them as gardening sheds....

ive still got one in the garden ..used as walls for composting garden vegetation ....

Good morning everyone from another dullards dawn in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of chicken salad with more emphasis on the poultry side came in at 4.5 this am

I have to wake up Mrs Miggins in a few minutes. She is driving her sister over to the hospital for a scan and looking after the baby that her sister is currently fostering. Most convoluted excuse to get out of the house to date.
Spent nearly all afternoon yesterday finishing off the final third of my book so now another one taken off the lockdown pile. This time Inversions by Iain M Banks. Will see how it stacks up to the alternative world that we have all been thrust into.
I notice that all those folk shouting and screaming so vehemently about the slave trade are now quietly queuing to get into all manner of stores and shops to purchase items of clothing made by underpaid and probably very young workers in far off countries. “Tear down the Nike posters and throw them in the canal.”

Hi @Diawara and welcome to the thread

Have the very best day that you can have and hopefully your gardens will not get flooded. Koffy calls.

FBG 5.6
Making yet another attempt to buy cauliflower this morning.
Sausage and chips not doing BG any favours.

Edited to add:
Finding myself reluctant to go out today. This would be third time out in a week, not used to going out even once in two weeks. It feels scary.
Am reassessing potential for visit to UK.
Maybe I don't really want to go? Even if it would be lovely to see family.

5.5 on this very wet morning. Have made the decision to still go to Sheringham Park this morning in spite of the torrential rain. Once I have had another coffee I will dig out my waterproof trousers.

Every now and then I toy with the idea of getting a dehydrator but then list all the reasons why buying such a thing is not a good idea.
JFDI - you can't take it with you and counting it must take at least 2 days a week:angelic:. Our new oven has the facility built in. Kale crisps, veggie crisps and dehydrated raspberries work well IMHO but what do I know.

Does the second letter stand for the word focus? Or is it something else?
Our current oven has a warming drawer underneath and I can set temperatures up to 80 Deg C - I think that 50 to 60 Deg C does the job pretty well.
Have you tried tomatoes?

Huge fan of tomatoes in almost every form - sundried the standout exception. I was distraught reading Dr Bernstein basically saying avoid tomatoes. Just not possible for me. I usually have toms twice a day in some form but not dried. We bottled and froze loads back in The Old Country. Spot on about the F

Morning...so tired today finally finished work at 3am this morning up getting ready to go for our click & collect shopping...after that a quick trip to the chemist then home for more coffee & a snooze...no FBG this morning straight on the phone checking the results of last nights work as soon as I was up all well with that...raining here and I have no objection to the it's cooler & we have a slight breeze...keep safe everyone.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are wary about travelling past their garden gate.

A 6.6 on my meter of confusion this morning.

In the great metropolis of Tilehurst we have rain, diluted with more rain. Our rain is wetter than your rain so there, whoops slipped into 3rd childhood mode again :-) .
Fellow posters on this thread I wonder if your day will be filled with tea, koffy, painting and other nefarious deeds.
I do hope so.
