Hi everyone.

Has anyone had or going to have a private Covid-19 test?
On contacting NHS for the little ones constant cough I'm finding tests not easily available.
I need to know ASAP whether we need to self isolate (4 of us).
His school has been informed.
Old child has been sent to school as on first instance it looked like a cold.
I'm now wondering whether to call that school for advice on whether he needs to come home.
I'm now wanting a private test for the autistic little one. If I can. I cannot deal with 4 peoples worry nor symptoms if it becomes untreatable at home. So currently I just want to prioritise the only one with symptoms and the need for a test result.

If a person has COVID symptoms, they should have a test n the NHS. I would suggest if you have concerns you follow the suggested protocols.

This is the gov.uk site on it: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

I would try to get the NHS to allow the tests for all the family (dial 119 I think). Lloyds Pharmacy do private testing but it's £150+ if I remember correctly. There are various private labs in London that do them by mail or visit but most are over £200.

I couldn't get either boys tested but they hv done their 10days isolation so they are just waiting to go back to school. School won't take kids till they've been tested.
So asking for school work from home tomorrow and will enquire about school meal vouchers again. Humf. Our area is in lockdown anyway. Schools are open though but without a test they aren't taking kids who had symptoms.
I hope everyone else is coping OK? I hv severe right side pain but not covid related at all. At least that blessing.
A&E were brilliant Friday just awaiting a MRI now because of a recent x-ray. Sending best wishes to all. :)
