To go from 40 to 118 in 7 months is pretty fast for a type 2. Not impossible but fast.
Hi ,Have you been prescribed any other diabetes medication, other than insulin?
I'm a bit confused here. Do you mean you're really hoping you do not have diabetes or do you mean you hope you have a different type of diabetes?
With a hba1c of 118 you definitely have diabetes. To determine what type it is you'll need more tests.
Let us know how you are doing!

Hi ,
I know type 2 isn’t always due to lifestyle , it’s just I would feel guilty as I ate ridiculous amounts of sugar and was pretty overweight , and know those are contributing factors
The doctor seemed to think it’s type 1 but guess only the test will tell
I’m just worried , I
Know type 1 is big but I’ve got it in my mind I would much rather that , then type 2
Hi,
Do you drive/hold a valid UK driving licence?

Thats good to hear! at least you are now controlling what you eat and true, diabetes is a lifestyle , if you change the way you are eating then it can be controlled and cured
Earlier I spoke to a doctor and they said my HBA1C level prior to my most recent one (40) was well within the healthy range ( it doesn’t seem that in the healthy range surely , being close to prediabetic )
It can be controlled very well, but it cannot be cured. Be great if it could be.
However no matter how positive you think it still ain't getting cured I'm afraidthink positive
and whats good for diabetes is the white corn not the sweet yellow corn, it can be eaten boiled or grilled, and if you boil them the water where you boiled can drink it and its good for your kidney
