I can't think whats coming next anyone else had these two things together should i be concerned ? I have yet to get any appointments to discuss diet.. measuring blood or anything only just been told my results over the phone.

Thanks

Also this is going to sound strange but both conditions can supposedly be false readings if someone is dehydrated ? I drink water but i do pee a lot could i possibly be dehydrated causing higher readings ?

Welcome to the forums. Possibly, but it's also possible that you are peeing a lot because you have high blood sugars. The doctor will probably repeat the test to double check.

Should you be concerned? Well, obviously neither condition should be left untreated, but the degree of concern depends on the degree of the conditions. Did the the doctor give you any figures with the results? I don't know about the albuminuria but for the T2 diabetes they should give you an hba1c figure (eg 50, 60, 70, 80, 100) which is determined by an average of your blood sugar levels over the last 3 months. You need to normalise this (particularly if you have kidney disease, since high sugar levels damage kidneys). Plenty of the folk on here return to normal levels by just reducing the carbs in their diets (T2s can't cope with them).

Here's a useful link by @JoKalsbeek about T2 and diet.

Good luck.

Hi thanks for quick reply

The diabetes was 51 and they told me it is type 2 but should be treatable with diet alone. The thing is from my reading the albuminuria usually is a symptom of longterm high levels ofhba1c ? maybe i misread this.

I have other conditions which i'll need to see how they all play together.

Long term prolactinoma.
So its a pit tumour and can reek havok on hormones etc... had adrenal issues also at one point.

Yes , that's only just into diabetic levels. Depending on your current diet, you may not have to do that much to reduce it to normal. Just out of interest, are any of your other health issues treated by steroids, as they can push blood sugar levels up on their own?

And one positive test for protein in your urine definitely doesn't mean that you necessarily have kidney disease, as there can be other reasons.

Good luck.

No steriods but around 10 years ago i was on long term hydrocortisone to kick start my adrenal glands as they werent producting cortisol but once they started working i was weened off of them and that was back around 2007-2008.

As of now I pee like crazy! I must pee around 20 times a day easily... and seems so much wondering where it all comes from :O

I think i might need to increase my water intake as im either drinking coffee or coke zero so highly duiretic I do however drink about 2 litres of water a day to counter this it's maybe not enough.
