- The term "big boned" lol repeatedly told this growing up!
So my hbA1c when tested in December was 103. My DN wants me to have levels within normal range. The situation is I have gone LCHF, upped my exercise since diagnosis, losing weight and gaining more muscle and energy, which is so far bringing my levels to anything from 7.7 - 9.5 upon waking and very rarely go beyond 10.5 ish throughout the day/evening. Now I know they are classed as high still, but I think I have done pretty well and worked **** hard to get my levels to the numbers they are at - in a space of just over one month. I am not on meds despite DN suggesting them every time. She seems more concerned with the high readings in the evening and wants me to have normal readings full stop.
I had to ask what my hbA1c was and was told that stress had no impact on bg levels
For me that is an impossible assumption to make. I have mental health issues that my GP is aware of and that my anxieties etc, all have an impact on my BP so in turn have an impact on my BG
I just feel I am somewhat "banging ones head against a brick wall" with my DN. I don't really want to speak to her anymore is was hard enough over the phone. I was losing weight before my diagnosis at times not really intending to, I tend to lose weight really quickly with exercise and with stress it just falls off. Could I be type 1? I was told they cannot determine if I am type 1 or type 2. Sorry rant over ...... x
