What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I would have a morning swim out into the Pacific to the IDL and you could turn yesterday into today.
D.
I'd love that...what a brill thought!
As I'm in quarantine, I might just have a long bath, switch out some of the lights, take in the view and have a drink. Might have to borrow @muddycyclist fig leaf if I keep the blinds up ;)

Had a seabass dinner, very nice and healthy...

Conf call with California pushed out till tomorrow...not complaining...need more time to complete the planning! seab.jpgbath2.jpg

One of my senior team in California I've just been told has been admitted to an ICU suffering from complications of Covid.

She is described as poorly, in her late 30s and no underlying health conditions. I'm also told she took every precaution until one day about a week ago, she went to a funeral out of a sense of duty and while no-one can be sure that's where she contracted the virus, it apparently all points there.

Reason I'm mentioning this - it's most certainly not over yet and we all need to take care, please.

Let's hope she gets over this - she's a great team member and stellar human being too...

Ate dinner at 7, finished eating about 2½ hours ago just stabbed my finger and found a BG of 5.6mmol. This is more like it! I'm hopeful a good deep sleep will come with Mister Sandman in about an hour...

Great mountains...sunshine is important to be out in @dunelm
I like the hints of your greens...
Thank you @gennepher and loving your fairy door art work. In fact all your recent fantasy art is extremely good and I’m glad that you are doing it. 2nd vaccine - tricky - I shall be having mine as the consensus amongst scientists - currently - is that I need to have both. All the best

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, March is passing by at the usual rate, one day at a time and soon me and me's will be allowed to finish shielding, provided the moronic classes behave.

A surprising 6.5 this morning on the meter of mystery and naughtiness.

I wonder if we will betreated to another covid briefing today, I pay careful attention to Prof Van Tam and Prof Chris Whitty, not so much to the presiding politician, but I do like to watch "Bumbling Boris the Beast " as I have nicknamed him, in my opinion he is a showman and a very, very intelligent and ruthless gentleman. I shall say nothing about the media at these briefings.

Today is the start of another week with such highlights as bin day, whiskey Wednesday, telephonic hospital appointments, looking at Mrs J's plants budding and generally getting into all sorts of trouble as befits a 3rd childhood.

Stay well, stay safe and whatever else it takes to maintain your sanity.

Be very careful today - ‘tis the ides today - no loitering in posh buildings and keep away from cutlery.

Thanks @Krystyna23040

@alf_Josiah does have a very valid point. I accept that.
I admit I don’t want to have to make that decision when the time comes.
But these are my thoughts at the the moment.
You have a good day.
Thank you. I am having a really good day. The class this morning was lovely and then the dog walk this afternoon was in brilliant sunshine.
Have done 6 Sudukos, 3 Mah Jong. Amin 0. Hopefully will do an hour today. Got distracted by catching up on the posts.

Well, goodnight Europe! Mister Sandman has arrived in the express lane...

Have a great evening everyone all points west...

Green tea drunk, teeth scrubbed and Braveheart pyjamas adorned. A sight for very sore eyes ;)

Have actually done an hour's admin. Listening to Carly Simon really helped the time to fly by. My favourite Carly Simon album is very up beat.
Now I shall read the weekend copy of 'i' while I drink Nespresso. Then classes tonight.

Smashing Muddy Cycle ride, very quiet, windy but Spring like.

Spent the afternoon painting fences, a long way still to go. :(

So a quick start on a painting of Alderburgh which we like to visit out of season when all the holiday makers ah e vanished, not sure that will ever be possible again. Not a fan of the East Coast, too flat but magnificent skies, reed beds and pebble beaches. So this is looking South down the beach, will finish Tuesday....

A4 watercolour about 20 minutes so far.....

Good morning everyone from a fairly bright and promising start to the day in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of a fine bavette with a glass or two of Languedoc came in at 4.6 this am

Today - who knows but this sunshine is not to be missed.
Art today - some mountain tops. Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday. Time for koffy.

Magical. I have never been far enough East to see these type of mountain peaks but you capture the feeling of the majesty so well. Great wash of colour also.
