What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Just what you need at 2.45am...
Sirens, bells and wide awake after the day I had...Down the fire exit into the non glitzy part of the edifice I've been in!

False alarm...now heading back inside and I am going to sink a brandy no matter the blood glucose impact. sleepless.jpg

Brilliant. Life restarting as spring arrives...
Thank you.

On the predictive text malarkey it's always been thus. I remember my grandad always quoting the old army message sent down. The line...

'Send three n four pence we are going to a dance.' Which started off 'Send reinforcement we're going to advance.'

good evening all :)

4.8 yesterday and 4.9 today

Phone has been fixed now and our internet is getting more stable, BT have left a huge hole at the top of the village so I presume that is where the fault was :) Hopefully I can start to catch up with you all now

hope you're all well and your day is treating you kindly :)

Nice to have you back.

The sea, what a tease I am so missing it now that's a lovely seascape you have given us, I do like the colours you have mastered so well in the sea.

I did prefer it when it was winter...

It is sort of not quite here nor there. The painting is competent. As your work always is @Muddy Cyclist

I sort of see it cut in half, but the green tree in the middle belongs to both halves...so that's no good...
Thank you, don't know about cut in half, my shredder may be a better option. :)

I need a change in scenery as. I am running out of ideas, the Muse must have left me for a while, I need to do some Plein Air sketching to re inspire me.

Oh dear, no shredder please!
I was trying to change the focus of the painting, and this is what I do...crop the painting to get something different from it @Muddy Cyclist
It was just an idea, however I really like that little green tree in the middle...

Take Wilfred and do some sketching from the comfort of your van. It can be quite bitter and windy at the moment actually standing outside to sketch, unless the sun is actually out.

Good luck!

Oh it would be so nice to go somewhere in Wilfrid but locally all seems so busy and I fear the whole of the UK will be the same. Once restrictions lift I will try and find some of the more unknown places I have been.

Thank you.

Like the child game of Chinese whispers...
It was always fatal to put me in that circle.
We did it at school.
I tried to explain to teacher I could not hear someone whispering in my ear, and that I needed to lipread. She wouldn't have it.
So, whatever the message started as, it bore no resemblance what it finished as when it passed through me.
The teacher always looked suspiciously at me as though I had deliberately wrecked the game.
Well, I had explained to her in advance...

My digital painting for today in Procreate.

I started it yesterday. Finished it this morning.

My original idea was an old oak tree with a clock face on the hollow at the bottom of the tree, instead of the child me from years ago in Sherwood Forest. Sort of an Ent tree. But it didn't quite work how I had imagined.
Why?Because I'd had an email asking me to explain something. The reply took me an hour. And by the time I got back to this digital painting, my thoughts and feelings were to the four winds, and no way could I return to the mindset that I had started this painting with. But it was absorbing my emotions to the email....

I did learn some new techniques by trial and error. So, my effort wasn't wasted doing this.

Good ideas that morph into something and offer a learning curve along the way, what can be better? A great piece of abstract art from you this morning.

Good Morning and 6.2 for me today. Why so high I have no idea, ertainly not related to high carb intake I will put it down to a DP visit.

Bright and Spring like here and a day with no plans.

Keep safe and seize the day.

Managed to fix blackout fabric over the skylight. Much darker this morning.
Errant woke us both just after 6.30am, he followed me when I went to do my ablutions, sat outside absolutely howling [https://www]. By the time we returned MrSlim had fallen asleep again, so the blackout fabric has definitely helped.View attachment 48309

Great news about the phone fix - I expect BT will need to call in specialist hole fillers - they will be in great demand.
Another spot on piece of art from you. Good light beaming in from the sky and that small island is a great touch.

Ah the distraction of emails - I learned a long time ago that they are best left to their own devices and only approached at set times - probably why I have no alerts active on my communication devices.
Wonderfully morphed piece of abstract art from you today and new techniques learned to boot.

Afternoon everyone. Have 15mins respite before we hunker down again in these them there parts.

After yesterday's stress filled day, missing meals, eating much later than normal and being bundled out of bed in the wee small hours due to a false fire alarm, my FBG this morning was a whopping 8.2mmol - the worst ever since diagnosis in January.

5 mins ago a finger stab revealed it's settled at 5.4; it just goes to show how volatile T2D can be - certainly with me - and careful tinkering is now part of my regime for life I think...

I'll chime in later - as we're now at the nitty gritty in business terms. My plans to get home by Wed next week are completely dependent on the next critical 4 hours, so fingers . I can't afford to miss that biz jet coming through either...but you never know

Have a wonderful day one and all.
