Apologies if this is too much information.

Just back from my local GP for the remainder of the stitches to be taken out. The stitches and glue haven't held the wound together very well as it was as very jagged wound. The glue was sitting in the wound preventing healing so the nurse has had to dig it out. She has put an iodine dressing on it and prescribed antibiotics.

The nurse also photographed it on my phone so we can monitor its progress. Not the sort of photo to post on this forum.
Whoooo! And I gave false hope suggesting all would be OK as my glue experience with stiches worked out well. Sorry, they must have used the new improved glue mix, which like many things that are improved turn out to be worse.

Still on the bright side you have a photo to scare friends and family with. :)

Hug for the lack of healing. My female GP photographed the result of a spillage of chemo chemicals on Mr Floppy and wondered if I would like to forward it to horspital. She was astonished I declined. Any advanced on that?
Yep, but I can't post it as I will be banned for life from the forum.

Oh that’s not good but if you take a photo each day you could make a flick book.

Definitely no advance on that. I would have declined also.

Mr K is still convinced that he could have made a better job with Gorilla glue. I think it was a really tricky zig zag wound.

The photos would really scare the grandchildren.

Two of my Grandaughters would be fascinated with the gore, would want to know every detail of the stiches, how you felt and how much it hurts. I suspect that's what comes of being dragged up on a farm and equine stud centre, it seems they take blood, wounds and all that messy stuff in their stride. Not like their squeamish Grandad.:)

good evening all :)

4.2 today

shops were a bit busier this morning but not too bad :) We've dropped off mum's shopping and stashed ours away so that's done for this week.

Lovely skies today, very 'painterly' :D sunshine and rain clouds scudding across a blue sky.

When we got home mr gee got a phone call inviting him for his 2nd jab on Friday :joyful:

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@alf_Josiah - hope your 2nd jab settles well :)

@Muddy Cyclist - fine painting of Cader Idris, I like the way you bring colour in and the hints of the landscape in the distance work so well :)
Your next painting alreaady has a lovely light to it :joyful: I must have a go at trying your layering technique.
Glad your trip was successful :)

@gennepher - Interesting, I think I will get some 'Bockingford' to try it seems to have a reputation for being a good allrounder, perhaps try some 'Rough' textured :)
Hope you managed to get that deserved sleep :sorry:
You've painted a fine evocation of emotion in your painting today :)

art bit - Surprising the differences in how the various papers behave when you slap paint on them :D

Thanks @geefull for the compliments

I love your painting, very much.
You are a very competent seascape and landscape painter.

Good morning everyone on mix and match sky scape here in the dark and confusingly dangerous north
The wonder wheel of roasted cauliflower and chicken soup came in at 4.4 this am

More vaccines at our GP surgery next month, 200 on 8th and 600+ on 22nd. Younger age groups and some 2nd jabs, what fun. Chipped a tooth so off to see the Painless Pole this morning - only called yesterday and after a list of Covid related questions got the quickest appointment time in the history of appointment times. A broom has been taken to the sky and already significantly more blue bits have been exposed.

Art bit - 2nd version of the nesting birds. Hope that everyone has a wonderful day. Time for koffy.

I have spent a little more time on yesterday's watercolour but not finished, will try Friday..

Trying to capture the late afternoon light on Spring Beech Trees, needed some negative painting of background. Need to send the blue to a more dark forest blue green but it's progressing....

A4 Watercolur, if this one works out I will try some more late evening tree pictures...
Thumb nail from where it was yesterday. IMG_4795.JPG

Today's work so far....

I like this very much @Muddy Cyclist

I almost want you not to add too much to it, but you will do your own things with it!

Had another walk before meal this evening and a very heavy shower just missed me.
I could see Skiddaw in the distance with a light covering of snow on the cone above 2,200 feet.

It been a bitterly cold day here for the wild campers and the pub garden eaters and drinkers.
The very best of luck to them, they look like having a dissappointing monday with an exceptional (for this year) Atlantic depression crossing the country.
