fasting blood sugar time

when is recommended time to take FBS
what is cutoff time to eat on previous day for FBS

Take it when you get up and we’re all different — trial and error is the only way to know what works for you.
 
Why do you care about Fasting Blood Glucose?
If you are trying to put T2 diabetes in to remission (for example) then it's much more useful to take pre and 2hrs post meal BG readings to determine the foods and portion sizes that best suit your body.

Why anybody should care about a number which is mostly affected by Dawn Phenomenon beats me!

I'm rather surprised how a liver dump can affect my BGs from getting up & two hours routine prepping for work with "bill by mouth?"
Even getting behind the wheel of my work's truck can bump it up.

Most folk with a functioning pancreas or metablism would not be a cause for concern or even noticable should they wish to track BGs..

I think it depends on the level. Some of us feel better if our bg doesn’t spike too much to reduce the chance of complications.

I do my fbl when I get up in the morning, never seen any difference with my liver taking a dump when I was consistently in the fasting fives.
