I can’t get my sugar counts up over 4 at the moment only taking required insulin amount for food taken not had it like this before
 
That’s disconcerting! How long is it since you were diagnosed? Have you had a C-peptide test? Have you done an lft, a PCR? (Covid can play merry underworld with blood sugars). Are you still taking basal and done a basal test?
Sorry to bombard you with questions at a time when a bit of low blood sugar brain fog may be one of your problems.

Have you taken the forgotten Lantus dose yesterday morning and then your usual dose yesterday night?

It might be there is some overlap.

How low are you now, and have you taken quick acting sugar/glucose to get your numbers up?
If you feel you can't get it up by yourself and you're alone, please call 999!
