Hi @Zura786 , welcome to the forum.
At only two and a half weeks in, it's not at all expected to have found the right dose yet! It takes much longer to slowly work your way towards finding it.
Doses need to be tweaked carefully, you and your doctor or diabetes nurse don't want to run the risk of aiming too high and causing a serious low in the night.
What kind of instructions have you been given on adjusting your basal dose?

I started with 20 units of toujeo , now 24 unit, need to be taken before bed

As you are newly diagnosed, I recommend talking to your diabetes team/DSN.
It can be dangerous to reduce your levels too fast so they should be managed carefully.
You mention you cannot afford to fund a Libre, if you live in England, ask your DSN.

Hello @Zura786 Welcome to the forum :)

Unfortunately no one here can advise you on your insulin dosing as we're not allowed to give this information, as said already, you're newly diagnosed so completely normal to see erratic figures so early on, it does improve in time but you need to have regular contact with your team to review your dosing to make these adjustments, just keep your glucose close at hand at all times of the day/night and drink lots of water to help flush the glucose through/ Let us know how you get on ?
