Hi I have pre diabetic for a number of years. During the pandemic shut downs I did not see GP for check ups, instead I used Thriva to check my HbA1c levels and they have been between 46 and 53. The last few weeks I’ve had daily headaches, fatigue, breathlessness and increased thirst. I’m not a great fan of going to GP as suffer from anxiety. Thoughts and what to expect if I go?

I suggest you could do with an up to date 'official' HbA1c.
With respect, you seem concerned about your symptoms which may be making your anxiety worse, best to get it check I think.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums.

To be honest, most countries set the dividing line for diabetes as 48, so it's possible that you've progressed into diabetic territory if those hba1cs are accurate.

And those symptoms are definitely worth taking to the doctor, given your history of prediabetes. Do you have access to a blood testing meter or urine testing strips?

How have you been tackling the prediabetes diet wise?
