I got my results yesterday for my hba1c and I got 30 which I have had last time I didn't really sleep well as I don't know how to improve on that when ever I look it up it only brings up high hba1c not low, I also got low potassium which I can improve on with orange juice bananas and so on things you would avoid unless you were in hypo. How do I get my hba1c higher

Are you getting a lot of hypos? If not, does a low hba1c matter?

I have had 2 in 7 months but low bg sometimes before evening meal so I changed my carbs from 23 to 25 to 1 unit but still low before bed

Two hypos in 7 months is nothing to most T1s (eg me). Are your diabetic team unhappy about your hba1c? If so you may need to get a cgm (libre or dexcom) to demonstrate that your hba1c isn't low because of hypos...

And what do you call a hypo?
A hypo is anything below 4 (for people with T 1).
Do you use a different definition, seeing as you've only had a hypo twice in many months?

If you're not dropping below 4 regularly your hba1c is fine.

Are you using a CGM or Libre as well to see if you have hypos at moments you are not testing?
 
30? As in 30? Is your doctor freaking out? 30 is amazing! In fact it’s too good I think, but two hypos, wow, amazing control well done!

I think that's why there not freaking out plus I am only 11 months since my diagnosis

3.9 is hypo. no not at the moment I give up on libre2 or rather it give up on me it didn't work well for me.

Look if your team are happy I don't see the issue here. My guess is that you are still producing some of your own insulin which is helping your body keep your levels normal and at non diabetic levels. I suspect your hba1c will go up if/when your own insulin production declines.

And of course, there is a possibility that you have one of a number of blood conditions that mean your hba1c reads lower than your blood sugar levels would suggest. 30 apparently corresponds to an average bg of 5,2 mmol/L, though , which would be excellent for a non diabetic.
